I hope you have taken PAN for minor, you need to register minor's PAN in minor's bank account. Post that you will be able to apply.

Same thing happened to me in icici bank

Do physical asba application at your Hdfc bank branch for your minor child. It can solve your problem. If problem still persist then open account with bank like RBL Who allowed minor account application online or do third party application (there is chance of ipo application cancellation by Registrar of ipo)

Under some sebi order most bank auto picking pan of major. I am facing same problem in yes bank. My minor son has his account linked to his own minor pan.

@GuptaG You cannot change it online, you need to go to your branch directly and talk to them. Take the minor PAN card copy with you and ask them to update in the minor's a/c details.

@ A.A when I initially contacted them they said minor account will display the pan of gurdian only. Are they saying wrong. Should I contact them again.

to avoid all batter to open the ac in Axis bank where can add demat ac details & may apply via your saving ac. for minor they will not update due to under 18 thats Bank told me.

If u have your S.B. A/c. with HDFC Bank and also Minor A/c. with the bank, u may transact with your customer ID . Both the A/c. balance you can see with transfer of fund as well as apply IPO from both A/c. Request your Branch official to give this facility of Net Banking under your Customer ID. Minor A /c. will be linked with your A/c.
Then u will be able to apply IPO from selected A/c. PAN No. of Minor will show with his name on selecting his A/c., as system will ask u to select the A/c. No.
Keep blank birth date Colum while u fill the IPO form.

@TheNirav... Problem not sorted yet... I asked officers of icici bank about this issue.... They replied that minor pan card cannot be attched to his account.... Only Gardian pan can attached

@GuptaG What @Dagliinv said is correct. You need to have your minor's account mapped under your account. Hope you have an HDFC a/c.

Yes I am having hdfc account and minor account is reflecting in my account.
Only issue is on ipo page the pan for minor account shown is still mine.
I think very few bank person know how to change the pan of minor.
