By the way, as per new update from SEBI to List shares in 3 days after offer closes. I can't imagine since registrar in 5-6 days time come up with Allotment in late evenings for Mainboard IPO's. What's your view?

It is general habit to do the work at the last moment. When the new rules will become applicable, then everyone would definitely follow it.

Few years ago, allotment happened in 14-21 days. Now it is happening in 4-6 days. In future, it will be in 1-2 days. Technology improving the bidding, allotment, & listing process.

20-30 yrs back, refunds used to come by cheques in post and many a times they were lost too. So this ASBA is much better.

Have seen the evolution in system from physical process to digital one . As rightly said getting cheque in time and then tracing lost cheques was real headache.. even form submission was pain in neck with long queue in good issues

I have seen physical cheque refund in dlf, reliance power. These issues came in 2008. Getting a physical form and finding a broker who accept form was a tedious task.

There was a time in 1980s and 90s, when the allotment process use to take 90 days, refund order as well as application form were in physical form, another 20 days for listing & if you sell the share on listing day, we would get the payments min after 21 days, thank god you are living in this era 😆

Actually all the accounts are active and received allotments in undersubscribed IPO's (Mankind, PROV, etc.).
Bas oversubscribed me nahi aa raha ( I guess it's more to do with luck).

But don't loose hope if you don't get today. It's pure lottery and you need to have patience. Choose wisely before applying and don't go for every IPO.

Don't get nervous. Ye koi exam nhi h ki ek baar fail ho gye to pura saal waste. Ye nhi milega to 4 din baad dusra lgao. There are lots of opportunities. Flood of ipos are coming one after another. So, relax and enjoy this IPO season.

@kumarbabu that is a myth. I always apply on last day after 12 pm. Have got 10 or more in last 3 years.

Good luck with your debut IPO. Don't feel nervous, the only way to improve the probably of getting more allotment is applying from multiple accounts. So try to open new accounts in your family members name/PAN, and apply from those too.

I believe many of members here must be following some kind superstition for getting allotment. You may share
For me, I never got allotment in ASBA so I always apply via upi mandate. Although now days I had to apply 2 hni applications via asba since upstox doesn't allow shni applications via asba

No luck so far this season. Last successful allotment was Route mobile 😞 Not very hopeful for Senco also

It is pure lottery now. Retail quota should be increased as a mandate by SEBI

Saw some message like the earlier you apply the more chance for you to get allotment. It is not the case. In Cyient DLM I applied two retail on the first day within first two hours. And then another one on the last day after 4 p.m. (zerodha + upi). I got allotment in the last application I made. So first in gets more chance is a myth atleast for me.

I have applied two applications under same PAN.
One application have valid application number and other application do not.
On BSE it shows only one application.
Two applications through different broker are not valid?
