What will be the allotment process if Shareholder category is oversubscribed? Same Lottery system as it does for Retail Investors i.e. max 1 lot to the ones who get lucky in lottery?

No one can say for sure if listing gains will be there or not but looking at QIB subscription there is a very high possibility of good listing. And even if it is at par listing it is a good portfolio stock and can be held for longer term.
Following factors work 1. There is Mathematics; no of applications in categories etc...
2 There are probabilities, on listing day sentiments 3. There are psychology / emotions ( especially in case of SBI and where employees and shareholders application are categorically reserved, attracting there favor emotionally).
In this case, 1. Mathematics says yes, 2. Probability of better sentiments on listing day difficult to predict due to Gap from last day and global-medical issues 3. This may overweigh negative of (2nd factor) above, due to more applications and affection. And eventually could help it eliminate losses (if at all) on listing in later weeks.
Thus, IN MY OPNION downside risk is very less, even listing game spoils on Corona sentiments.
PS: Above is my judgement and may not cover all the factors. Kindly do your assessment.

Mittalji is right, you can apply from any one bank or two different banks provided you mention the Pan number
@Shiva you are wrong, you can put 2-2 total 4 lakhs application in Retail as well Shareholder respectively and not exceeding 2 lakh combined
Best strategy 13 lots in Shareholders 1 lot in Retail

I think it is better to apply more lots in RII instead of shareholder category based on below data. Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) 2.1688 Reservation PortionShareholder 6.8787
I have applied 13 lots in RII category, are there any chances of allotment? Also, I am not able to apply more in shareholder category through Zerodha. It only has the option to update the existing bid and there is no option for a new bid under SH category.
In retail category subscription is 1.43 application wise it means one lot by lottery to 1.00 applicant out of 1.43 applicant. Am I correct. Please advice
Hello, i am trying to apply for 20 lots in shareholder category through AXIS BANK ASBA. However, the system is not allowing me to bid more than 2 lakh from the shareholder category. what is the solution in such case ? Please help.
Same issue I had with Indusind. I just went to my branch and gave an RTGS request to be transferred to SBI and will be applying in SBI depending on sub figures till 1.45.
