If I buy an SBI share today then will I be considered as a shareholder for SBI cards IPO? I am asking this question because I see Draft RHP is already files by SBI cards to Sebi in Nov-2019. I read in FAQ's this statement "An individual can also apply in the Shareholders category (any amount) if he holds the State Bank of India (SBI) shares in his demat account on the day of filing the SBI Card IPO RHP with SEBI". Please advise.

Only DRHP filed not RHP. YOU can buy now to eligible
Dear Harit Usually sebi takes 7 to 8 weeks for approval. Nov 26th DRHP filed. Clarification sought is usual course. It will get permission before third week. Issue may be first week of Feb or last week of Jan.
It seems that sbicpl will not make it in January, Otherwise movement should have started by now 18 days left from today assuming 20-22january But not heard anything by now
It seems issue is not going to open in January as SEBI has saught clarification from LM and is not received till 27th December. It will take atleast two weeks to issue observation after receiving clarification.
I have SBI demat account on my name, So can I apply for shares in retail category using my friend PAN as 2nd application using my demat account number in online asba? Is it that everyone person should have their own demat account in sbismart to apply?
