@arunARUN, Great call Sir! Gland Pharma was riding on anti-China sentiments, so genereal retailers avoided it, but it was a real gem for serious investors. So yes, ghatiya or not all is a perception until listing.... baad me kya hoga kisi ko nahi pata. Good Luck :)

@Lockdowninvestor
Retail <1x is not ghatiya rather it is an opportunity, ofcourse u need to factor in other things Gland Pharma, Craftsman, Sona Comstar, Nuvoco (Rs. 20 loss), and Vijay.
All has retail around 1x they performed really well.
@Scrip, I agree to you. Sorry I used that word inappropriately. I wanted to hint about ''subscription figures'', not really about the company. All the companies you mentioned had good fundamentals, even if they were over-priced - need a special eye to judge that and apply for such opportunities.
You can sell the stock but you will get ex dividend price. However you will get dividend also. Dividend amount becomes taxable as part of your total income and you loss on selling the stock can be shown as loss IT return. Dividend play a zero sum game for such transactions. Buying before ex dividend and selling on ex dividend date.
Dear Sir, I really want to know your thoughts on "eClerx Services Buyback". Please let me know if I should opt for eClerx buyback. What is the Record Date? (It is showing Yet to declared on some Websites and on one website it is showing 27 August.) I would really be glad if you would give your valuable thoughts as soon as possible :). Thanks in Advance.
Sir, Yes, you can opt and purchase shares at around Rs. 2200/- at the earliest as record date is likely to be announced shortly. I am of the opinion that it is reasonably beneficial as acceptance rate may be low.

@Siva, Acceptance ratio should be high if we are tendering our shares in buyback and not low.
Instead of the word “reasonably”, I might have used the word ” not that much “. Sorry for the confusion created. Thank you.

Qib 3 baje ke baad nahi laga sakte on last day toh 2 ghanta rehta hai logon ke paas. 1 din extra for retail is like waste.

लेडीज quata को अलग से allotment,new demet account holders को अलग से allotment,old demet account holders no allotment, जिनका demet account है उसीके बैंक अकाउंट वालों को अलगसे quata etc etc

One extra day for retail is a good idea for IPO size greater than Rs 500 crore size
Board of directors of Goldiam International are meeting today to consider the proposal afresh for buyback of shares. Earlier the buyback @ Rs675/- was disapproved. Hence they are meeting today i.e., on 13/9/21. Please be vigilant n watchful before purchasing the shares in c/w the buyback. Thank you.
The price of the share has abnormally been increase from Rs. 730/- to 1070/-. I am doubting whether we can sell the unaccepted shares after buyback at least @ Rs.900/-. No doubt the company is reasonably good. But the million dollar question in my mind is restricting me to purchase @ above Rs. 950/-. I will watch n wait for the guidance of ANIKET JI in this regard as I am in the process of learning only. Aniket ji may please enlighten. Thank you.
I am reproducing herewith for the benefit of readers What an expert (I believe) Santosh Singh Ji has explained it in another site as under:
As defined under Regulation 2(i)(n) of the Buyback Regulations, a “Small Shareholder” is a Shareholder who holds Equity Shares whose market value, on the basis of closing price on Stock Exchanges as on Record Date, is not more than Rs 200,000/- (Rupees two hundred thousand only). For example, as on the Record Date, the volume of Equity Shares traded on BSE was 15,887 and on NSE was 1,14,137 Equity Shares. Accordingly, NSE, being the stock exchange with highest trading volume, the closing price at NSE was Rs 184.40 and hence all Shareholders holding not more than 1,084 Equity Shares (200000/ Rs.184.40= 1084.60) as on the Record Date are classified as ‘Small Shareholders’for the purpose of the Buyback Offer…..
Thus Record date is the criteria as detailed above. Hope it is clear now to act accordingly to ensure that you enjoy the advantage of the retail category.
If the above is incorrect, experts may enlighten with details. Thank you.
@KAMMA SIVA RAMA KRISHNA ji, Given markets do not fall too much, do you think Goldiam will go upto 1050 or 1100 or 1200 before record date or do you believe it will fall or remain stable. Just asking, can you please answer from your experience. Thank you
@KSR Krishna, no offence sir, but after your discussions, there is going to be overcrowding in buybacks by novice retailers of chittorgarh community. Companies and operators will take them for a ride.
Hello sir, as per your explanation related to buyback of Goldiam intl, one should have 1084 shares as on record date only then one can tender shares for buyback & will be accepted by the company as per the ratio decided by the co or the entire shares would be accepted & why one should make invt of such huge amount to earn 10% profit means if anyone holding shares of less thn 1084(as per example) his shares won''t be accepted under buyback?
I humbly request you to Please go through my observations once again to understand my opinion properly. Sorry, If I have not properly expressed.
Mintindian ji,
Whatever little knowledge I do have, if it helps I do share my views, always keeping in view my limitations. Thank you very much for your kind consideration.
Sumeet Ahuja ji,
I humbly submit that it is only an illustration and no way relating to Goldiam International. It is already mentioned as an example. Please go through it once again.I might have explained in a separate tag. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Dear Admn.,
I sincerely apologise for using these pages for matters relating to Buyback. I express very sorry from the bottom of my heart to each and everyone for my lack of understanding that I am causing inconvenience. I assure one and all that I will not post anything relating to the buybacks hereafter. Thank you very much.
Ami aur vijaya ke listing day ka chamak dekhke na na walo shant ho giya. Iska vow usey vi ucha hai! Ek bat mere khyal me aya, aise hisab kitab jaisa baithana baithaia , lekin iska listing day me market ka sahara milna muskil .

Those who are interested to know “How to participate in Buyback “ may please go through the ECONOMIC TIMES today. If you browse you will find out in google also. Thank you.
Kamma Siva Rama Krshna Sir, How to know about buybacks before record date? It is difficult and tiresome to go and check every circulars on exchange website.
Frankly speaking, I browse the google almost every day by typing “ Latest news on Buyback of Shares”. Then some sites appear. Go for NSE site and look for Buyback updates. Or else look for other sites like Business Standard, Economic Times etc., in this regard. I don’t think that it will be difficult n tiresome to spend a few minutes to get the wanting details. Thank you.

Great company...dearly valued! Essentially a play on the Indian 2W space currently and incrementally on the Indian and Global 4W space. But the real question is that at this valuation isn''t one better off investing directly in 2W OEM''s like Bajaj and Hero Moto rather than investing in a very well run supplier of their key parts! I''d side with the argument for investing in the OEM''s at this valuation of the supplier! Keep minting!
That''s how you put back, all the responsibility, on investors (email received today):
"Dear Investor
Greetings from BSE Investors Protection Fund ! Hope you and your family are safe, healthy and doing fine !!!
As you may be aware, in recent times there have been a large number of companies raising funds in the market and getting listed through Initial Public Offers (IPOs). It is also observed that several IPOs are getting oversubscribed, a record number of times.
So, do you consider yourself as prudent investor ? If yes, then please check whether you are observing following due diligence while applying in IPOs !!!
Are you studying the fundamentals of the company you are investing in, before applying in its IPO ? Do you ignore rumours and speculations floating in the grey market while applying for the IPOs ? Do you carefully read the risk factors mentioned in DRHP before applying for IPOs ?
If your answer is YES to all the above, then you are surely a Prudent Investor !
Please remember ...... Do not invest in a company for only short term listing gain - instead focus on creating wealth by investing into the business of a company and grow with it over a long period of time.
So, before applying in an IPO of a company, please invest some time in studying that company – you are only investing it for your own future. It is like getting vaccinated against investments that turn sick !
Wishing you Happy Investing in Securities market !!! Stay safe, get vaccinated, wear a mask and maintain Social Distancing.
