Took position in NCL industries today. I completely missed the bus for Cement & Sugar. NCL appears to a one of the very few opportunities left in Cement for fresh entry...
If you are looking for real and fast gain from equity, both short term multibaggers and ipo idea, post your wapp number to https://therealmultibagger.blogspot.com
For year 2013 to 2015 company''s profit margin is very low 0.6 % to 2.2%. In year 2016 sudden increase in Net Profit to Rs. 35 crore but revenue is not much increased. Sudden increase in Profit margin (6%) in 2016.
This looks something manipulated because of company is planning for IPO in year 2016. I can understand low profit margin in garment industry but sudden increase in 2016 is questionable.
Garment business have some limitations like neck to neck domestic competition and on international level competition from China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines, Indonesia etc.
If garment industry never works on low margin but S P Apparels''s profit is very low compared to revenue. Why they are not making good profit ? Their margin is very low for year 2013 to 2015 (0.6 to 2.2 %) and in year 2016 is 6%.
Agree @UchitPatel , In addition the company has negative net current assets before IPO listing meaning current year payables are more than current tear receivables. At around for the same amount of revenue, its rival Kitex has posted 3 times more profits. If I take the current level of equity and capital in the balance sheet, the return on net worth seems just around 6% against Kitex ~25% Even though there might be listing gain in short term, in the near term it will be interesting to see how the stock will perform.

Very Good and well reasoned Analysis
But fact remains that for IPO, it is fancy among the investors which counts for listing gains.
You may be correct in the long term, but when it is coming to the listing gains, differennt parameters are to be looked into.
PSL@ The trouble with going purely for listing gain presents its own dilemma. While you will gain 40-50% for a quality IPO in short term ( Considering all fundamentally sound and reasonably valued IPOs will be oversubscribed eternally and given one lot per lucky customer presents a profit of 5K-6K) in the long run you will miss out on kinda of 10X growth in mcap. (JUBLFOOD, VGUARD, ECLERX are best examples if you still holding them from IPO time).
Personally I feel, its better review the fundamentals and go for reasonable price irrespective of whether you buy and IPO on primary market or stock on secondary market.
Your Observation is Good. Infact some Companies like SP Apparels still in the Proprietor ship Segment. The Promoters are 2, It''s an small Family Run Business. Therefore they have left anything for Investor''s table. Such Companies. doesn''t provided dividend. Be care Investing in Small Family run Business Companies.
If you are going to be list and you are hiding profit. What does it mean? This is nothing but cheating to new investors who is going to buy stake through IPO.
If you are looking for a horizon for 5 years pharma and IT both of which are down are good entry points. Buy the big names Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy both of which are good. Even Lupin.
In IT HCL Tech, Infosys, TCS, Mindtree there are multiple buying opportunities which sooner of later will bounce back.
But buy only if you are doing so for 5 years and hold with conviction.

It is having so many multibagger potential subsidiaries.
Aditya birla finance ( leading NBFC) Aditya birla universe (retail investment advisory) Birla sun life Mutual Fund Birla sun life life insurance Proposed Birla sun life Health insurance company IDEA cellular Linen club (leading linen store) Birla shaktiman (Agri based unit)
Once it will be demerger, it will unlock tremendous value for shareholders.
However in near future, Mr. kumar mangalam birla is not interested for demerger.
Yes u can also earn like that. But for that u must have the discipline and patient... 100000 invested in guj nre in 2000 is now 4600000 in 2016 just an example..
Good companies are paying highly divided as well a timely bonus and so on your health multiplies. L & t, Infosys, tata are few of many who can provide better returns to their investors.
lets see the future of AB Nuvo company is handled by one of leading busines magnet K M birla. he is also CA by profession. he had made Ultratech cement as most sought after stock in Cement Industry. He had also also taken over the administration of Century textiles, an almost neglected company and working for its turnaround. i had started accumulating Ab Nuvo post demerger of ABFRL (850-1100 range) and in just 3 months it had crossed 1450 level.
once these all companies demerged/ listed , it will surely unlock value for investors.
don, You may also purchase Maharashtra Scooter. these both scripts have tremendous growth potential just by holding and forget theory. I may advise you more value investing stock, but some members in this forum is not appreciating sharing.
I am holding AB Nuvo, Grasim, Century textile, Pilani from ipo stage. All from Birla group. I don''t know you are aware or not AB Nuvo was Indian Rayon at the time of IPO. I am trading in Birla group since mid 80s.
I told don''t hold Birla Group for long term. Book profit and exit. It doesn''t make any difference you are CA or not. You can hire CA professions to run the business.
Some more information for your knowledge:
Birla group never give bonus or stock split. This is benefits to Promotors and loss to small investors. In 80''s Birla group''s rank was no. 2 in India after Tata and Reliance was on no. 3. Birla family has highest cash at that time. Now after 30 years Birla''s name is not in top 10 industrialists. This is only because of bad policies for share holders, employees, family disputes etc.
your holding in the birla group company is more than my age but Regarding Split /Demerger, they had recently demerged ABFRL from AB Nuvo (not more than 6 months).
they are also having regular track record of dividend in this company since last many years.
In addition Birla group management is far from limelight and matters with their work not like other big corporate houses.
And Regarding Business growth, their Entire group turnover in 1995 (at the time of KM birla took over chairmanship of A Birla Group) is USD 3.33 billion and now the group valued more than USD 41 billion. surely Mcap of group in 1995 was far less than 3.33 billion. they had given enormous wealth generation for themselves as well as small shareholders.
