To increase retail participation, if issue is oversubscribed.. each retailer shall be allotted one lot, if possible. If not, retail investors shall be selected via lottery and successful ones will get one lot. Hence every retailer today applies only for one lot, if issue is expected to be oversubscribed.
Under new system introduced one year back, allottement to retail will be minimum one lot to each of the applicants chosen by lottery irrespective of their bid size,( if issue is oversubscribed)
There will be 125579 successful applicants each getting 80 shares to be decided by lottery. With present new system of allottement in retail category, the exchanges should also mention no of retail applications received in their websites as data of no of times subscribed less relevant
You are right pinkyji allotment should be on lottery. Everyone have fair chances to be selected on lottery though you applied for one lot or multiple lot or full application. It looks like final ratio should be 56:100. 56 application should be selected out of 100.
In this issue, Smallcap World Fund picked up a whopping 22.13 per cent of the total portion earmarked for institutional and QIBs, while US funds major T Rowe Price snapped up 18.37 per cent and three funds from Neuberger Berman Emerging Fund group lapped up over 15.2 per cent.
The other institutional investors who lapped the issue include two funds from L&T AMC 8.21 per cent, Motilal Oswal AMC 8.14 per cent, and American Funds Insurance Series Global Smallcap fund 7.66 per cent, two funds from Birla Sunlife Trustee Company (6.6 per cent), ICICI Prudential FMCG Fund 3.94 per cent, and Axis MF 6.56 per cent, they said.
APPLIED WITH FULL FORCE..... THANK U ALL FOR SUGGESTION. NOW WAITING FOR ALLOTMENT. BUT ONE QUERY???? WHICH LOT IS MORE CHANCE TO GET ALLOTMENT LOWEST OR HIGHER ONES i.e. 80 walo k chance achchhe hai ya 160 walo k???
once the issue is oversubscribed it is luck of draw does not make any difference if u go for one lot or max lot in RII bucket ...... however multi application is better option if Sipo is over subscribed
Everyone with one lot at cut off price would get it. Also, many people would have applied for multiple lots. Some would have applied for 2 lots, some 3 and so on. So out of a subscription of 1.9, lets say 40% are people with one lot. So out of total no of shares for retail investors, 76% would be by single lot applicants who would be duly allotted the shares. Rest 24% of shares left for retail investors would be distributed in applicants with multiple lots. So allotment of shares is very scientifically done and there is no lottery system in vogue. This is as per sebi guidelines of equal distribution of shares among all investors.
Another clarification. I have also included in 40% all those people who have multiple lot applications. So after everyone gets shares with at least single lot, rest are then distributed among others.
that is completely wrong just go and look at basis of allotment in past issue which r over subscribed the whole application and allotment changes with how many people applied and how many lots they have applied... no sure shot that single lot people will be 100% this can only happen mathematic IF the number of application equals same number of lot size available.... example Sipo RII is 10000 shares min lot 1 so total number of share holder max is 10000 and only 10000 people applied even if the issue subscribed 100 times in RII since denominator is same 10000 all will get one lot of one share even if you have applied 1 million shares or one share....
THE KEY IS HOW MANY APPLICATION IN CASE SHK TOTAL SHARE IS 10,046,362 SO DIVIDED BY 80 SHARES LOT SIZE APPLICATION 125579 IF IT BELOW THIS THEN ALL WILL GET ALLOTMENT OVER THIS IT IS LOTTERY
ALSO IF TOTAL APPLICATION IS LESS THEN 125579 THEN PEOPLE APPLIED MORE MORE LOT WILL GET MORE SHARE LATELY WE HAVE SEEN IN IPO 96%APPLICATION IS SINGLE LOT
as i said for me this avoid as i said same with powermech fundamental and management is good but asking to much.... valuation is way to high 40 PE this same as buying a property and renting at 2.5% does not make sense then again i may be wrong.....
Five applications can be made from a bank account per issue however sometime SCSB does take multiple application not sure why but sometime says one application per account
People who have applied one lot at cut off price would also get it. Be assured. First everyone with one lot at least would be allotted and people with multiple lots would be allotted after single lot people have been allotted in proportion of the number of people with multiple lots. I hope it takes away the confusion.
it is not sure short it all depends on how many application take shree pushkar got subscribed 1.4 times however all did not get allotment from memory the ratio was 57:63 meaning out of 63 application 57 got allotment
