Hi all respected members - can someone pls help me understand how applying different sized lots increase allotment chances in SME IPOs?

I see lot of msgs here where members highlight the no of lots they have applied and solicit others' interest in doing the same, which apparently is done with an intention to increase the allotment chances for such lot size applications.

Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I agree with this, as this is the similar case for me

Presstonic had way more chances of allotment than accent or sj logistics but missing two ipos for one was too tempting. hopefully isme allotment mil jaaye, varna regret reh jayega preston me apply nahi karne ka.

Havent got a single SME allotment till now, have applied to almost 50 issues.
have changed the bank this time for SJ logistics.any way it's pure luck

Hi,

I have been consistently applying in both HNI & Retails categories. Always have got an allottment through retail application. It maybe just pure luck, but there is crowd everywhere, so do what's best for you based on expected subscription figures. I personally feel 15 retails had a better chance.

2 of 4.5 cr will be better
but there is a catch
When you are applying with this
You need to make sure that no one else apply in that catagory with you
else it will be lottery between you two ,
So as if you put 2, 4.5 cr exact same lot, both may go in lottery against each other.
so make sure you dont apply exact same lot from both the account.

If you are alone it is mostly 100% with you.

I have applied for SJ logistic but cancelled it still money is blocked,
Actually i have applied around 10am so gpay had send late approval notification but i already cancelled that application.
Then i applied a fresh application but the approval for fund blocking already blocked for previous application which i cancelled it.
Please help me out.🙏🙏

When allotment out, then ur money will be unblocked

@Bhuvan ji.. According to the size of sme ipo & no of subscribtion .. A certain no of minimum applications are required to be eligible for the lottery in every catagory of applicants.. So that's why members asked here to join him so that no of applications in a particular catagory can fullfill the minimum eligible criteria in that catagory in which that member is applying.. Hope you understand the logic..
