@Nidhike

Below are some of excerpts:

"FY16 PAT 46cr + 30cr Chhaya =76cr
FY17 PAT ????
FY18 PAT + interest saving
I think it will be more than 120cr which translate into Rs 35 Eps so PE anywhere b/w 25 to 30 given its pedigree."

"Profit will be 100% consolidated and 55 crore will be shown in liability side for payment as per RHP so no question of 22.5 cr ....deal is certainty of 100% for 220 cr "

"Taken loan of 150 cr to fund 76%
Raising 325 cr so actually leveraging going down considerably after IPO"

Yes, profit from Chhaya will be 100% consolidated but from 1 Apr 2017 as per new accounting standards IND AS. Thus Chhaya''s FY16 PAT amounting to 30cr will be accounted in proportion to the stake currently owned by S Chand (74%) with subject to acquisition related adjustments. The same has been reflected in Proforma Statements given in RHP. So, It is 56.7 cr.

You spoke about interest savings and principal payment of loan taken for Chhaya acquisition through net proceeds of 325cr. For your information S Chand has made numerous acquisitions in the past and continues to do so in future to gain access to regional markets. If this is their strategy to grow then I beg to differ that leveraging won''t go down considerably in near future. Thus interest expense is going to more or less same.

"Sales CAGR of 36% n EBiDTA CAGR of 47% innlast 5 years is less than moderate?????"

This is probably because of the series of acquisitions it made in those 5 years. Where as the organic growth rate reported by S Chand for K-12 segment is 20.46% from fiscal 2012 to fiscal 2016. Although 20% plus organic growth is too good for any business but Sales CAGR of 36% is bit misleading. It is better to be conservative/reasonable in our approach while projecting estimates.

"MKT loves growth"

Market loves rumors than anything else.

In my opinion S Chand stands out for below reasons:
1) It is a well know brand with high consumer recall.
2) Growing at good rate due to its strategic acquisition & related investment and will continue to do so in future.
3) With focus on increasing its presence on state board markets - by acquiring regional content houses in attractive market.
4) Focus on transitions to digital in the knowledge industry
5) CBSE advisory circulars can be a major roadblock to their growth story but they have identified it and must be working to counter this threat.

Great 👍. Clearly S Chand have priced the issue at upper limit given market condition. All upside is already in this priced in

Yes all upside is priced in....But don''t know why this stock will surprise...

If it was Hudco, i would have avoided if priced so high as it lacks that behaviour of a volatile stock which a trader can see.......

But this stock has certain charm which cannot be ignored.....

A traders delight...Something like bedmutha on the upsude/ tajaria on the downside listings 5-7 years ago.....Let''s see...

I hope IM KP can help on this....He looks pretty good trader to me...

One more interesting thing is that co raising funds to repay loans
Interest expenses was 9 Cr for 9 months and company earned 5.6cr interest
co declared interim dividend of Rd.25/share for fy17 who will be beneficial its not known
My question is that why co need public funds when they have their own source

No question the valuation is too high in this IPO, but also look at intangible assets of this company which cannot be measured.

^^ Excuse me? Company with intangible assets? Sounds same wacky as Santa Claus without a scraggly long beard ..Intangible I mean ..:))...Or ..Oh! Yes ...Or Rapunzel without insanely long, sleek hair.... This is the year 2017 at my end at least and people are just too pragmatic to believe nothing short of anything that makes sense.

Disappointed? Not at all ...Not everything about you can be disappointing ..take my word for it ...Talking about uncanny, upon reading what you just wrote, I have already started to see a ray of light at the end of this dark, never ending IPO tunnel...I''m going to chase it ..Even if that means I have to keep chasing forever.

So ..Peace!! <--- That''s the word for now (And that''s regardless of the genders)

I strongly believe that Nalco will be available at cheaper price than OFS....

Lot of churning will happen after OFS and when Institution like LIC start off - loading....

Lot of churning will happen after OFS and when Institution like LIC start off - loading....

^^^ ..Yes so there lies the sly hint that LIC has dropped....LIC invests in the likes of NALCO to pay their investors posthumously, you see...
Now with that kind of explanation the question "To invest or not to invest" mustn''t sound as abstruse as the famous "To be or not to be ,that is the question" ...
To sum everything up, first decide on your investment horizon ..When would you need the money from the NALCO investment? While you are breathing or posthumously?
