Bandhan Bank listed at the peak of euphoria in the 2017-18 Bull run (15x oversubscription),
went to a valuation of over 10+ P/B just after; now no one wants to touch it at below 3+ P/B after the inherent risks of the MFI business are out in the open
Tremendous response means rare possibility to get shares who have applied for less than 05 lots. I think after seeing financial results that gmp will not be more than Rs 500/ what''s expert''s opinion. Please mention for knowledge.

Rolex Rings Ltd. IPO subscription figures on last day at 4 pm (BSE+NSE):- QIB:- 143.58X (Excluding Anchors) closed HNI:- 360.11X closed Retail:- 24.14X Total:- 130.26X Total no. of applications so far is 34,42,706 Appl. wise in retail category is 19.38X Great subscription figures. Far better than expectations.
I have done mathematical analysis of it and here I''ll share the summary: Case 1: when you split NII money into 2 accounts Then you may get allotment from both the accounts Thus, this increases chance of getting 2 lots but it also increases chance of getting 0 lot.
Personally, I like higher chance of getting 1 lot rather than increased chances of getting 2 lots
For the people, who want to see mathematics for it: Ex 1: Lets assume oversubscription goes 100 x and you have money to by 120 lots. a. You split the money in 2 accounts with 60 lots each. So, individual oversubsciption factor = 60/100 = 0.6 i. chances of getting 0 lot: = (1-0.6) * (1-0.6) = 0.16 = 16% ii. chances of getting 1 lot: = (0.6) * (1-0.6) + (1 - 0.6) * (0.6) = 0.48 = 48% iii chances of getting 2 lot: = (0.6) * (0.6) = 0.36 = 36% iv chances of getting at least 1 lot = 1 - 16% = 84% b. You don''t split the money. So, individual oversubsciption factor = 120/100 = 1.2 lot i. You will 100% chance of getting 1.2 lot ii chances of getting at least 1 lot = 100%
Ex 2: Lets assume oversubscription goes 100 x and you have money to by 30 lots. a. You split the money in 2 accounts with 15 lots each. So, individual oversubsciption factor = 15/100 = 0.15 i. chances of getting 0 lot: = (1-0.15) * (1-0.15) = 0.7225 = 72.25% ii. chances of getting 1 lot: = (0.15) * (1-0.15) + (1 - 0.15) * (0.15) = 0.255 = 25.50% iii chances of getting 2 lot: = (0.15) * (0.15) = 0.0225 = 2.25% iv chances of getting at least 1 lot = 1 - 72.25% = 27.75% b. You don''t split the money. So, individual oversubsciption factor = 30/100 = 0.3 lot i. chances of getting 0 lot: = (1 - 0.30) = 70 % ii. chances of getting 1 lot: = 0.30 = 30% iii chances of getting 2 lot: = 0% iv chances of getting at least 1 lot = 1 - 70% = 30%
So, if you want some chance to have 2 lots, then it increases your chance of getting 0 lot. Thus, it will decrease chance of getting atleast 1 lot too.

@IPOlogic... Nice explanation. Good to see 12th class maths probability scenarios after long time 😄
