I am sorry to say that your friend is right.
First thing is for such issues, you should apply only at cut-off (Max).
Then decide on the quantity.

This is a lesson for you.

Do not worry, with this money you can apply for Edelweiss Capital.

I think the lot will be 8. So, you apply for 120 shares @ 825/- = 99000.
