Hi Praveen !!!

After the issue of bonus shares will not lose around 60% ( if it loose around
60% it will come to 180 Pershare. )

The actual intention of ADAG to issue bonus share is very clear and to protect their shareholders
from the unexpected loss at the time of issue.. So they will try to give some reasonable profit after ex-bonus to
their share holders..

Surely they are going to fix the price of shares at 270 - 290 level considering the
bonus issue..

still we can make some profit out of that. follow the simple calculation below.

Current price of the share is 395 & think that you are going to purchase
100 shares ( 100*395=39500) for rs39500/-
After the bonus issue you ll be having 160 shares(270*160=43200) at the rate of 270 per share.
So your profit will be around 3200,(after commission to broker) in percentagewise it is going to be
around 8 Percent of Profit MINIMUM.

for a single month 8 percentage of profit is a good thing, bcoz if you
invest the same amount in bank you ll get interest rate in 1 year.

Or else, Wait for the last week of this month, if the share price touch 450 - 470 levels sell it before
bonus issue, because it will give a huge amount of profit.( more than 10 percent profit)

Hope my clarification is clear enough.

Happy investing!!!

Hi Ashok
You are not Correct....After ex-bonus it will loose around 60
percent of the price and in that case it will trade at 290 aswe will extra 60 percent share .please rethink.....thanks in advance for further valuable Calculation

After the issue of bonus shares, it is expected that the share prce will come down to Rs.270.. So it is advisable to buy shares at current level ( around 400 Rs. ) and to exit in the last week of May.. ( To get profit of around 15 to 20 % at that time )
Welcome anyother valuable suggestions..

Thanks so much for explaining this Bonny. Appreciate your help!!
Thanks again!!

Mulk Anand,

One more thing you have to buy it ON or beforebefore the ex-date i.e. 29 may 08 and not June 02, 2008.

Note now that the management has announced it - Bonus shares will be issued to all those that own shares as of June 2, 2008. That means you must purchase the share on or before 29 May 2008. On the opening of the 30th, the share will go "ex-bonus" meaning any purchases from then on will not give the owner any bonus shares.

Hope I have clarified all your doubts.

HI Mulk Anand,

The bonus issue is for all investors. You can buy today and get bonus shares. That is why rpower price is going up.

About the Bonus shares i am confused if company has given that date for those who bought it through IPO or for everyone who buys its shares before June 02, 2008? Can someone explain this in simple language. Please do not use complicated financial terms. Thanks.

dont buy just to get bonus shares. after the ex-date, the price will adjust accordingly.. those already holding, the right time to exit before ex-date.

Any one can tell that Reliance Power is down by 60% on ex-bonus date or not ? This is to be noted that bonus shares not given to promoters.

It is common practice by exchanges that on ex-bonus date share price reduce.

Yes Aman, you will get bonus shares if you purchase on or before 29-May (i.e. Whatever number of shares you are holding on 2-Jun) will fetch you bonus shares in ratio 3:5. But You cannot purchase on 27-04-08, as it is a Sunday :)

To all those who have not received refund or credit of shares to demat account, please read this before posting here.

1. Do not post your DPID, Client ID or other details.
2. Do not waste time e-mailing, or calling Karvy.
3. Go to your nearest Karvy office and take with you copy of your application (Confirmation of Allocation/Refund Notice - CAN), Client Master List and keep your DPID and Client ID and payment details(cheque no. etc) ready and request them to do the needful.
This is the best way to get your refund/credit of shares as quickly as possible.

This is from my own experience in trying to e-mail, phone Karvy etc. Finally what worked was actually going to the local Karvy office and politely requesting the people to help.
