ADAG offers free bonus shares to R-Power shareholders

Under attack for poor showing of Reliance Power at the stock market after its listing on Monday last, Anil Ambani Group on Sunday announced to consider free bonus shares for investors in the company and hit out at rivals for hammering down the shares of all the group companies.

Taking every body by surprise, the group firm Reliance Power said free shares would be for all the shareholders, excluding promoters who would accept dilution of their stake in the broader interest of over four million investors. A proposal for this would be considered at the Board meeting of February 24, the company said.

At the same time, the company demanded a probe by market regulator SEBI into market manipulation and market abuse through a vicious and orchestrated campaign "unleashed by unscrupulous rival corporate interests to hammer down all Reliance ADA group stocks".

The unprecedented move comes a week after the dismal opening of Reliance Power at the stock exchanges. The scrip, after listing at Rs 547.8, slid into red within a minute and closed the day at Rs 372, a level much below the issue price.

After a fabulous response for the IPO that saw a demand of Rs 7,50,000 crore for the issue of Rs 11,560 crore, the listing-day blues had led to severe criticism of Anil Ambani. The IPO was the maiden market venture after he created his own group in 2005, and was the worst ever opening for an Ambani IPO.

I have applied for 20 applications of 225 shares but on 22/01/2008 I arranged to make stop payment of 16 applications and most of my friends told me that I am a fool and I will have to repent for this decision even before listing on 11th feb one of my friend told me that it will list above 600/- I told him I am ready to sell at any price above 430/- buy it now he did not accept my offer now u people see the fate of Rpower Reliance power on Investors in IPO gone.

Applied for 225 Shares but neither the Shares nor the refund order has been received so far for which KARVY was also apprised in black and white but no tengible result so far.Please favour us by doing the needful in the matter at the earliest.

These Reliance people !!! even after mentioned ECS refind, IFSC code, MICR code, they have forwraded the refund to my DMAT account at Ahmednagar and Not in the valid account of ICICI..

Dear Sir,
I have applied in Reliance Power Ltd. IPO vide application no.14559716 by cheque no. 372996 of Allahabad Bank Rannapark Branch dated 15/1/2008 of Rs.25875/- and applied for 225 Shares. The company have alloted me 16 Shares. I have checked the status of my Refund on karvy's website. It was showing me that my refund order was despatched on 2/2/2008 and it will reach to me within 10 days from the dispatch date but till today (16/2/2008) I have received my balance amount nither through ecs nor through Refund order. My DP ID is 302201 and client ID is 10304716.

So please do my favour to solve my complaint as early as possible.

Those who knows, pl reply to the following.
1.can we go to court if the shares allotted to us are not credited to our dp a/c even after passing 3 months?
2.where we have to sue? in the consumer council or in the civil court.
3.going to sebi is waste.even after passing 15 days the sebi does not register the complaint.
4.on whom to sue? on the registry or the company that issued the ipo.

Karvy must be made to pay interest on all delayed refunds@ 18% per annum in addition to their blacklisting for all future ipos.
Small investors must also unite and take a vow for not to apply in any ipo in which the registrar is karvy.
