HI 705. Sandeepiitb (61.16.157.102)

CAN U TELL ME HOW U ARE CALCULATING ISSUE PRICE AFTER 5% DISCOUNT IT WOULD BE 427.50 AND U R CALCULATION AS 430 HOW COME
697. Sandeepiitb |   Link |  Bookmark | January 4, 2008 3:56:29 PM
For Retail Investors

Issue Price: 385 to 430 (20 off)
Minimum Application of shares = 15
Maximum Application of shares       = 225 at cut-off price (225*430 = 96750)
                        = 255 at lower band price (255*385 = 98175)

Amount needed to apply shares at cut-off price = 115*225 = 25875
Amount needed to apply shares at lower band is also same, amount payable/refundable after will be different.

Case I: Application 225 shares at cut-off price
Payment at application = 25875
If you get 45 shares (worth 430*45 = 19350), you will get refund of 6525 (25875 - 19350)
If you get 75 shares (worth 430*75 = 32250), you need to pay 6375 (32250 - 25875)

Case II: Application 225 shares at lower band price
Payment at application = 25875
If you get 45 shares (worth 385*45 = 17325), you will get refund of 8550 (25875 - 17325)
If you get 75 shares (worth 385*75 = 28875), you need to pay 3000 (28875 - 25875)

Don't confuse. It is clearly written as "While bidding, the Bidder shall make a payment of Rs. 115 per Equity Share, irrespective of the Bid Price. " Retailers can apply at max 15 lots.

HI ALL

HOW TO CALCULATE AS PER THE PART PAYMENT 1 OPTION

115 * 225 = 25,875/-

AND IF WE CALCULATE WITH 5% DISCOUNT IN RETAILS, AND WITH APPLICATION WE HAVE TO PAY 25% AMOUNT.

450 – 5% = 427.50 * 225 = 96,187.50 – 25% = 24,046.875.

LET ME KNOW ON WHICH CALCULATION WE HAVE TO WORK OUT….
