i have got 17 shares. So please somebody tell me how many more share i will get as bonus. REPL declared 3 shares bonus on 5 shares, so definitely there will be 9 shares bonus on 15 shares. So then what about remaining two shares from my 17???????

NEW DELHI: Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Power on Sunday said it will give three bonus shares for every five shares held by its shareholders.

The board of directors at its meeting today considered and approved a bonus issue excluding promoters, as per which three shares would be allotted for every five held.

This issue would benefit over four million investors in the company and the cost would be borne by the promoter group by way of diluting its stake.
Post bonus issue, the cost of acquisition of Reliance Power shares would come down to Rs 269 for retail shareholders and Rs 281 for institutional investors.

Saying that retail investors are the bedrock and foundation of Reliance Power, its Chairman Anil Ambani said: "In these two weeks, the number of retail shareholders have actually increased. In these 10 trading days, retail investors have acquired 2.5 crore shares."

The approval of bonus issue is an unprecedented step in the history of capital market in India and abroad, he added.

Shares of Reliance Power closed down by 1.21 per cent on Friday at Rs 416.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

GMP for reliance power for just today is rs. 40/- (buyer)that means grey mkt is expecting price of RELIANCE POWER tommorow at more than 417+40.

IT IS TRUE THAT 3 BONUS SHARES FOR 5 SHARES HELD TO INVESTORS.IT IS DECIDED TODAY AT BOARD MEETING OF REPL AT MUMBAI.

Will the shares given to the peoplr holding shares on date or to the initial allotees

sir i have applied 225 shares(fully paid)
but i havent got any shares in my a/c and not a refund.
in my application status different name is shown
i hv complained to karvy abt it
but its too long that i hv submitted my proofs of investments.
so now what to do.
can i do claim on karvy regarding late refund 96750 rs. i hv paid.
