After Feb 1, FII & Mutual Fund will also short sell the shares which is very dangerous for Retailer. They can lose lot of money due to this

Dear Retail Bidders be very careful on issues like this,no doubt we have been given 5% discount. But worth studying the issue very carefully.Feel this is not only the biggest issue but also one of the most expensive issues. We should feel happy if we get around 40-50% per year return on our investments which is very much possible going through the SIP in mutual funds(now that the entry load has been waived for direct investing(In case you have excess money and would like to play in the share market go for this( coz ultimately the allocation would be bad obviuosly)

any how all the best to everybody!!!

I don’t think everybody will get much allotment in the Reliance Power IPO, because it will be hopelessly oversubscribed. So you need to now focus your eyes on what happens post-listing and when you take a look at the grey market then you worry a little bit, not a little bit more than a little bit because including the grey market premium the price is somewhere around Rs 900 that’s double of the IPO price. Whatever good to that one is heard from the management on the Reliance Power IPO and there were many positives, which came through from the media conference at Rs 900 its very difficult unless the market remains in this very frothy frame of mind on the sector its extremely difficult to justify that price because at Rs 900 you are talking about 2 lakh crore marketcap for Reliance Power, you got to look four-five years out and still you will be scratching your heads to justify that.
Reliance Industries one-year back in February 2007 was at 2 lakh crores marketcap and not even a year has passed since Reliance crossed over that 2 lakh crore marketcap. But that’s apples and oranges just look at Reliance Power at Rs 900 our estimates are that in FY11 we are sitting in FY08 right now, so straight away you take a leap of three-years for generation and you may find that they have 6,000 megawatts in FY11 that’s three-years down the line assuming faultless execution.
You want to look at sales and earnings you take a bigger leap go to FY13 that’s five-years from now, FY13 what the pre-multiple would be on our expected delivery - 90. We are talking about 90-times FY13 earnings if all goes well on execution for Reliance Power at Rs 900. If you look at four-years out FY012 and attribute some sales number to the kind of generation that they have, you are almost talking about 30-times sales for FY012 that’s four-years down the line. It’s a good space and probably this company will do lots of exciting things down the line but sitting out here to justify Rs 900 per share on Reliance Power even if you have that perspective of three-four years, five-years down the line seems like a big leap of faith.

reply for 964. Hashim
it seems you have not applied any IPO from ICICI direct. You don't need to worry all will be taken care by them (I assume u opend NRI account with them). When u open a/c u have to POA to ICICI.
Hope this will help

How much total a retailer can subscribe for, 225 shares or 210 shares in Rel Power. Since, we have the Rs 20 discount, so we have to pay max of 430 Rs, for an application of 225 shares ,430*225=96750 (which is less than 100000). So, I think we can opt for 225 shares max application. Can any body confirm this.

I have a doubt?
In case I go for partial payment, and if no. of allocated shares is such that my initial payment was good enough(means no payable balance), will I be able to sell on the day of listing??

Hey All,
For all your reference you can verify ICICI FPO..

Price band was 885-950 .
Retailers got Rs50/- discount.
MAX lot was 108 shares(lot sier of 6 each)
Part Payment was also available Rs225/- on application.

If you do the math caliculations, Everyone applied for 108 * 900 = Rs97,200/-

And not 108 * 950 = Rs 102,600 which would more than the retail limit.

So The price applicable for retailers should be taken i.e Net Amount payable for bidding the shares( as in ICICI BANK FPO it is Rs 900/- and not Rs 950/)

Applying this scenario for RPL ... The calculations is simple..

MAX LOT of 225 * 430 = Rs 96,750 -- This is for Full Payment option i.e. PAYMENT MODE 1

------------------------
In case of Part PAyment
------------------------

MAX LOT of 225 * 115 = Rs 25,875 --- PAYMENT MODE 2

Other installments accordingly has to be paid before the dead line specified.

END OF THE DAY ... PRICE APPLICABLE THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN IS RS 430/-( Rs 427.5/- to be exact 5 %) ONLY ............ JUST KEEP THIS IS MIND ..

I Hope This clears everybody mind and also this people advocating wrong max lot of 210 shares....
