Is it better to buy on installment of rs. 25000 and pay balance amount the next day and make share fully paid up and sell the next day. what is the minimum time for making the share fully paid up and can we pay before the call money date
1013. Amar |   Link |  Bookmark | January 7, 2008 7:53:31 PM
Issue will suscribe 10-12 times in retail.....will get around 20 shares.......& GMP will be 350-400--net profit for the investment of 25,000.......will be rs 8000

Khemka, I dont think you would get more than 25000 worth of shares , so it would be always a refund rather than we need to pay. So still we can opt for partial amt and still can sell the shares for listing gains

Applying this scenario for RPL ... The calculations is simple..

MAX LOT of 225 * 430 = Rs 96,750 -- This is for Full Payment option i.e. PAYMENT MODE 1

------------------------
In case of Part PAyment
------------------------

MAX LOT of 225 * 115 = Rs 25,875 --- PAYMENT MODE 2

Other installments accordingly has to be paid before the dead line specified.

END OF THE DAY ... PRICE APPLICABLE THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN IS RS 430/-( Rs 427.5/- to be exact 5 %) ONLY ............ JUST KEEP THIS IS MIND ..

I Hope This clears everybody mind and also this people advocating wrong max lot of 210 shares....

can minor apply for reliance ipo.
1005. KHEMKA |   Link |  Bookmark | January 7, 2008 6:42:36 PM
it is better to pay rs 100000 rather than 25000 else we will not be able to sell ... and we can have listing gains and also .... we have to pay the money after allotment,,so it uis better to pay fill amonnt rather than 25 %

Hi FYI to all investor friends,

NEW DELHI: Even before India's biggest ever IPO hits the market, investment bankers involved in the public issue by Anil Ambani Group's Reliance Power believe it could generate demand worthmorethan Rs 2,00,000 crore.

While the group is proposing to raise up to Rs 11,700 crore from the IPO, the bankers say the success of the issue is a foregone conclusion and they are now betting on highest ever demand to be generated by this issue.

So far, the biggest demand for an IPO was generated by Mundra Port & SEZ last year, which received bids worth about Rs 2,00,000 crore with an over-subscription of 115 times, while the IPO of state-run Power Grid Corporation also generated demand worth about the same level.

Bankers are not willing to go on record for the parameters they are attaching to the success of the issue, but say that the tremendous potential demand could be gauged from the fact that close to one lakh demat accounts were opened in the last three days alone.

At the end of 2007, there were close to 10 million demat accounts and the figures have remained stagnant for quite some time, until the rush began in the run-up to the Reliance Power IPO, said a banker.

One of the book-running managers to the issue J M Financial's Managing Director and Co-CEO Atul Mehra said the IPO being successful is anyone's guess and what they are waiting to see is how much demand it would generate.

The reports are saying that Reliance Power shares were last trading at Rs 435 in the grey market, which is near the top end of the price-band of Rs 405-450, Mehra noted.

The IPO will open on January 15 and close on January 18 and the bankers expect at least 20 times of over-subscription.

ICICI Securities' Managing Director and CEO S Mukherji said there was a tremendous appetite among investors for IPOs from the power and infrastructure sectors.

"We are witnessing a huge rush for opening demat accounts from investors and for investing in good IPOs," Sudip Bandyopadhyay, CEO of Anil Ambani group firm's brokerage and financial services distribution firm Reliance Money, said.

Officials at a leading brokerage firm also said they were running out of demat account opening forms.
