Mr. NAV, even I saw in NDTV news that brokers are offering a fixed amount to investors (whether they get allotment or not that fixed amount will be given to the investors). Opening of new DEMAT Accounts might not be a major threat, but indulging in unfair practices are bad. Whatever said and done, this is Reliance Company and one can definitely expect a good listing gain. You would have observed the same trend with Reliance Petro. The IPO price was Rs.60, listing was at around Rs.90 and later the stock touched even Rs.58 and now it is above Rs.200. All because it is a Reliance Company, no matter it belongs to the elder or the younger.

Hi,

Can somebody suggest whether to invest the money in RPL bcoz there is too much of hype for this company.

Don't invest in the Reliance Power IPO - the following are key reasons:

1) Anil doesn't know where he is going to start power plants. So no one knows when power production will start

2) When he finalises the site, it won't be easy for him to get land. As usual, lot of agitations will happen

3) Biggest problem is - HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY ARRANGEMENT FOR GAS - Mukesh has already said no to him for gas

4) He isa supporter of people like Mulayam and Amitab - hence Neither Congress Nor the BJP will support him for his power plants

5) States like UP, WB will not give him land

6) His plan to take over power plants like Dabhol have already been discarded by the Congress Government

Kamal,

The reason I told this was, in B'lore the broking companies are having melas and camps for this. They are opening dmat accouts on the spot. It is more like a market in front these broking companies. If this is the case here, I was just wondering all over India what would happen. I may be wrong, but did not have intensions of confusing or misleading others. But I still think that It will be way beyond 20 times!!

Mr. NAV, see the size of the issue. Future Capital has been oversubscribed by 134 times, which means that it has been oversubscribed by 5 times of the size of Reliance Power. Please do not confuse others. The indications are that the Reliance Power will be oversubscribed by 20 times nearly.

Mr. NAV I do not agree with you because the size of the issue is much more of RPL it should be maximum 7-8 times thats it

Yes srini I know that but the banks are enjoying the funds and they get interest against advances they make to us isn't it true

Due to last 2 days corrections, i think it is prudent to invest in secondary market than investing in Reliance Power. As it retail part should go up to 12 - 15 times oversubscription. So share allotement will be preety less. May be 30 - 45 shares per person.

Hence if you have large pool of funds; invest in secondary market. Many good companies are available at the cheaper rates currently. So buy them and make money.

If future Group IPO gets oversubscribed by 55 times in retail then Reliance IPO will be 300 - 400 times. If this is the case how many shares can we expect?

mr. jain (1881)

ipo money is kept in escrow account and no party gets any
interest on that money.

When I apply for full payment through Religare account, It does not show any discount and it asks for 101250 Rupees for 225 units!
It should count discounted price and ask for 96750 Rupees instead.
Has anyone faced the same problem?

Hi Guys,
ICICIDirect is now showing status 'Under Process'. This is strange and never saw that before. I applied in Reliance Power IPO two days back.

Dear All (On line IPO Applicants)
I have applied for Reliance power IPO for full (i.e. 225 units) on line through ICICI. My applicantion was ordered on 15.01.2008 at 2.10 PM. But it could not be executed as yet. That is the payable amount Rs 25875/- is not debited from my account as yet (17.01.2008 at 3 A.M.). I have obsered that, whenever it is debited after the due date and time, I don't the IPO. I have enquired the ICICI Bank Gorakhpur branch (actually I am in Gorakhpur), they are saying that it may be due to server server overloading. I feel strange, because when I applied for Future Capital, the order was executed immediately. Anyways, I want to know the secret of such events (if any). Thanks!
