Sunil & 2174

The subscription data is as of 4.00 pm for all categories of investors and not just retail. The Qns is why is RPL just subscribed 3.5 times at cutoff? Am I missing something.

2170 (Raju Gupta),

You are absolutely right!!! Reliance is driven by TRUST! AMBANIS have created this RELIANCE EMPIRE not for becoming SELF RICH, but for creating the wealth for others, for RETAIL INVESTORS...IF YOU WONT GET THE ALLOTMENTS, ANIL BHAI will pay money from his pockets!!! YOU JUST APPLY and WAIT!!! WEALTH will search for you and come to you..

Dear Sunil,

It seems that your math is very poor
divide 796744965 by 68400000 you will get 11.64 times in reail

Chk again you will get only 15 shares because by EOD it will definately subscribed to 15 times
2153. Saahil |   Link |  Bookmark | January 18, 2008 5:24:58 PM
IPO already oversubscribed more then 15 times for retail, Which means ratio is 1:2 as of now (So 1 will get 15 shares for every 2 applications). If it goes more then 15 then it will be lottery.... system

Can someone throw light into why this issue is subscribed only 3.5 times at cutoff price?
2151. Gates Foundation |   Link |  Bookmark | January 18, 2008 5:23:40 PM
This is to confirm Mr. Bill Gates has applied for shares worth US$ 1 Billion in Reliance Power IPO. We expect the share to touch US$100 by 2010.

Hi Guys

We are retail investor not the trader,so think always in the long term. The first power plant is going to start by jan 2009 & three others have been in construction pahse.Reliance have plan upto 2016 to take it into full swing.
If the shares will go down after the 3-4 days of listing do not worry. It will give u good return, after all it is "Reliance brand-a icon of trust of Indian investor & FII.

Ref message no 2149 which says:

As per available data @ 4.00 pm on NSE Website

Bid Size - 228000000
Total Bids - 15689368485
Bids @ Cut-off - 796744965

Which is 68.81 times oversubscribed abd 3.5 times at cut-off price. So on full application of 15 lots, retail applicants can expect 4 - 5 lots allotment.

Looks very ackward that the issue is oversubscribed at cutt off price only 3.5 times.
can some one give more information

2164 (Buck man), Not only Bill Gates, our other US counterparts like Warren Buffet, George Soros, Mittals, Mark, Slim, Jack, Dick, etc all are in queue. They thought of applying for this through IPO... But as because our markets were going down, they thought of buying the shares after the BIG LISTING DAY!!! And at around Rs. 430....AT ANY COST, PLEASE DONT SELL THE SHARES on the listing day itself...IT WILL REACH Rs. 45000 before 2010...

Since 3.85 times oversubscribed at cutoff price, will all investors who applied in full lot at cut-off price, will get 5 lots of allotment. Can some experts throw light on this?

Guys,

As mentioned by some of my friends here, Tuesday and Friday are auspicious days for Reliance and incidentally 8th February is a also a Friday. According to kaaldotcom and astrogurusdotcom, Shani will reach 8th place from it's 6th place on 8th Feb and it's good for ANIL Bhai (Reliance ADAG) and all we investors...And the shares will be listed around 830 and will reach 1575 by end of that session. And gradually will go down to 450...Try to sell all your shares on the listing day itself for big gains...

HAPPY INVESTING!!!
