Hi I have faced a new problem with this reliance IPO refund. I am really fed up with all this. I deposited my refund cheque in ICICI bank and it bounced on 4th April 2008. The issued cheque was of HDFC bank. When i inquired ICICI bank they told me that the cheque bounced because there was a stop order placed on it by the drawer. This means Karvy put a stop order on my cheque. As far as my knowledge of law goes bouncing of cheque is a criminal offence and is punishable by law. I want to explore the legal option. Does this come under Consumer courts? Has anyone faced similar problems in the past? please suggest what to do
