R-power ex-bonus price will go down by 6% only while your holding will increase by 60%. Sure shot buy. Only risk is still there is some lobby actively trying to pull down the stock.

the volumes have doubled than the 10 day average volume... and -the stock is pickin gup momentum... pls someone clarify whether to sell or hold till bonus announcements i ve bought at 420.00 rupees(five hundred shares)

i read that after 31 may it will be quoted ex bonus .. does it means the share price wil reduce on 31 may to around 270 - 280 rupees. I ve bought on the listing day for an average rprice of 420.00 and still holding it. Can anyone explain whether the share price after record date june 3 - 5 will reduce below 250.00 or it ll be profitable to sell once it crosses my price of 420.00. i dont want profit when there is going to be a loss after bonus share allotments

Again you can see market was down second day in a row ut rPOwer advances. Institution are building their position slowly in this counter. Once the record date is finalized you will see it will advance like an rocket. Todays price is 387.50. After the finalization of record date you will not get chance to buy this share. Buy it ahead of time.

I told you earlier, That now you will see heavy activity in Rpower. Those who bought that share on that day would have surely benefited. The share has risen from 374 to 384(Inspite market falling). Still time is there, when Record date will be announced it will start jumping.

So buy as much as you can.

MUMBAI: Reliance Power has received shareholders' approval to issue 3:5 bonus shares to its shareholders excluding chairman Anil Ambani and other promoters.

"The shareholders through postal ballot have approved the proposals entailing that no allotment of bonus shares will be made to Anil Ambani and other promoters who waived their entitlement to such shares," the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange Tuesday.

Reliance Power had recommended the issue of 136.8 million bonus shares in the ratio of three new equity shares of Rs.10 each for every five existing equity shares of Rs.10 held by the shareholders in the public category (excluding the promoters).

Ambani has gifted 61.5 million shares of Reliance Power to Reliance Energy, both part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group, to ensure no dilution in holdings of the latter in the former, the statement added

Reliance Power Ltd has issued the following Media Release on Postal Ballot result:

Reliance Power Ltd on April 22, 2008 announced that the shareholders of the Company have by an overwhelming majority approved through postal ballot the following proposals.

1. To alter Article 82 of the Articles of Association of the Company incorporating proviso that no allotment of bonus shares will be made if Shri. Anil D Ambani and other Promoters waived their entitlement to such shares.

2. To Issue bonus shares in the ratio of three new equity shares for every five existing equity shares held.

In accordance with the group philosophy of giving the greatest importance to shareholder value creation, the Company had recommended the issue of 13.68 crore bonus shares in the ratio of three new equity shares of Rs 10 each for every five existing equity shares of Rs 10 each held to the shareholders of the Company in the public category (excluding the promoters i.e. AAA Project Ventures Pvt Ltd, an entity fully owned and controlled by Shri. Anil D Ambani and also promoter of Reliance Energy Ltd (REL) and REL who have waived their entitlement to allotment of Bonus shares. These shares will be issued by capitalization of a part of the sum standing to the credit of the Securities Premium Account.

The shareholders have also overwhelmingly approved alteration of Article 82 of the Articles of Association enabling the Company not to allot bonus shares to the Promoters.
The Company will announce separately the Record Date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of shareholders to the Bonus shares to be issued by the Company.

Please, let me know the record date of RPOWER. After allotement of bonus shares how long a investor sholud hold the RPOWER ?

Applied for 225 shares of Reliance power IPO on 16.1.08 vide application number 91482484, by paying Rs.96750, through icici demat account. After several emails to the registrar Karvy, got the information about allotment of 17 shares during early February. Once again emails and faxes were sent only to find crediting of allotted shares to my demat account ( when the share has lost considerable value) some time end of March. The balance refund amount of Rs.89,440 still remains in their custody.

Can any one from Karvy or reliance group make a statement as to when to expect the refund? or provide a suitable explanation as to what is the hold up and why public money is being withheld.

What a pity that you apply for a reputed company like Reliance and the Registrar like karvy is hell bent of creating a poor image of the company by witholding huge sums of public money, without any explanation and not even ready to give any response to emails, telephone or faxes. Any body who has burnt his fingers will think ten times before applying for any share, where karvy is going to be the registrar. I won't be surprised if for the next IPOs, we start to get messages " Beware, it is managed by Karvy".
