In Business Standard and Economic Times upto 5.30PM on 23rd it was reported that retail portion was subscribed 0.78 times only. How come it was finally 7.8 times for REC. Was there any manipulations after banking hours by poeple who have applied at the upper limit of 1 laks?
606. Mohitji |   Link |  Bookmark | February 26, 2008 10:02:17 PM
Mr Ricky

as someone said the upper band will consider all the other lower prices in to account.. anyhow there is no discussion in this now as the price band is fixed at 105

3 Retail Individual Investors (RIIs)

3(a) Cut Off 331684800
3(b) Price Bids 18971820

so highest bids are at upper band....
603. RAVINDRA SINGH |   Link |  Bookmark | February 26, 2008 7:42:37 PM
dear friends, let me tell you that if u look at nse bse demand graph all bids at and above a price are included in that price in that sense upper band bids were and will always be less than lower band coz they themselves are included in lower band.

As per NSE site, for retail demand at cut-off is 33.1685 crore and no. of shares reserved for retail portion is 4.5665 crore which gives 7.26 times over subscription for retail catagories.
