I have applied for 300 shares, i was alloted 60 shares. But still I have not recieved refund money. So plz anybody can tell me, that i have to wait or to contact the consultancy regarding the same ?
I have received refund by Cheque, though i have applied through icicdirect. So dont panic, expect it may come by cheque. If any problem in refund, karvy has to give answer and they should give interest for the belated refund.
REC IPO App no. 71060059 neither refund nor shares recd in my demat a/c. I had applied online thru Religare securities. Now Karvy is saying that my DP ID / Client ID is incorrect. I have checked the same at Karvy's site and found it to be correct. Now, how can I get refund and demated shares?
Refund problem - I don't know whats wrong with Karvy?? I hv not yet recd refund in my ICICI account (Mum). Sebi is telling abt making the ECS mandatory, hope it becomes operational soon.
A sun outage is an interruption in or distortion of geostationary satellite signals caused by interference from solar radiation. The effect is due to the sun's radiation overwhelming the satellite signal. Generally, sun outages occur in February, March, September and October, that is, around the time of the equinoxes. At these times, the apparent path of the sun across the sky takes it directly behind the line of sight between an earth station and a satellite. As the sun radiates strongly at the microwave frequencies used to communicate with satellites (C-band and Ku-band) the sun swamps the signal from the satellite. The effects of a sun outage can include partial degradation, that is, an increase in the error rate, or total destruction of the signal.
Effect on Indian Stock Exchanges
In India, the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange) use VSATs (Very Small Aperture Terminal) for members to connect to their trading systems. VSATs depend upon satellites for connectivity between the terminals/systems. Hence these exchanges are affected due to the sun outage. These exchanges normally remain closed from 11:45 to 12:30 during 'sun outages', but times vary depending on the scientific factors. The interference in satellite signals disturbs smooth transmission of data of online transactions, hence these share markets remain closed for the duration of sun outages. Due to these outages, the trading sessions are normally extended in the same day to compensate for the lost time. In September 2006, however, only the NSE intended to shut down during the sun outage; the BSE did not. The reason for which is unknown.
there are so many jyothishies in the share market who predict prices of stocks and the corrctness of their predictions will be similar to that of the original jyothishies(if somebody preicts the sex of a child before delivery, the probability wil be they will be right on 50% times). so don't worry, enjoy the predictions & take them with a pinch of salt and act on them at your own risk. the advantage will be that you will get to know the mood of people.

Hi, Refund is dependent on your Brokerage house through which you appied for the IPO and not on the Registrar (Karvy or Intime). I have been applying thru ICICIDIRECT and always i get the share s and the refund amount on time without any issues. Stop blaming Karvy or any registrar. regards, AARaja
