NEVER do day trading with brokers who are primarily banks e.g. ICICI Direct, SBI-cap, HDFC etc.
Trading without charts is like driving blindfolded. Open a/c with Sharekhan, it has excellent charts. I heard PIB also has good charts but never seen it, check it out. Don't do phd on brokers and brokerage.

Do not try to make money from RDBRL...chances are more that you will lose. Book losses, as so many have suggested. After work read books, learn trading and then start trading with a small amount. If you forcibly try to make profit you will lose remaining money also.

I think it was not yr IPO allotment rather u bought the same from the mkt- right ?

If it is so, u can short the same quanity and yr position will be automatically squared off.

I am not able to sell my share becoz they are not credited in my account...icicidirect costomer care told me that you can sell your share after two days.....wat to do i am stuck....

Sharekhan allows short selling on both NSE and BSE on listing day. IIFL does not allow shorting on listing day.

I am back. It was off in my co from last wednesday to sunday and there was no decl of RDB listing as on last tuesday. It is a surprise to see it got listed and discounted @ 67%. Unluckily I have appied and got allotment for 1 lot (Rs 6320), and also chittorgarh sms alert was deactivated from my mobile, so i have to bear the loss of 70%.

Since there is no way, lets accept that.

RDBRL can go up 2-3% and THEN hit Lower Circuit. Just because it goes up a little don't think it'll touch 30.
The reverse is also possible...so observe it's direction, enter the trade in that direction with a tight SL.
Looks easy isn't it :)...but nearly impossible to implement (at least for me).

If I were you I will put a SL slightly below CMP after open. If it goes down it gets sold-Loss is limited. If it keeps going up I will keep moving SL UP. After moving up if it goes down SL will be hit. NEVER move SL down. From this point on it's a fresh game...Buy, Sell or do nothing?

There may be better ways of handling your situation...my knowledge is limited. I hope others will point out mistakes in what I have told.

You have allready done mistake of buying RDB. Dont repeat such mistake. You book your losses though it is painful. If you hold onto this you may loose further in this kind shares.

My Suggestion:

-Dont take delivery of shares on listing day.
-Dont trade on listing day, if tempted to do so, then with strict stoploss.

Trading on listing day can made millionry or bancrupt.Rdb now only go southward.dont think can go upward suddenly operator game may still exit on monday.

Mr sand san, You short share on listing day without holdind it.some broker allow it and some dont allow.Sharekhan,Ventura,Bonanza are allow short sell while IIFL,IndiaBulls not allowed.But Short sell not adviciable since many stock get doubled on listing.My advice is dont trade on stock on first day listing.You trade it From 2nd day

I will not average more share....my staregy is thar if RDB go 30 to 32 on monday i sell my 6000 share and then i sort few thousand share from there.. to decrease my loss....tell me from there i sort on cash or margin.....?

Anna je i am new on share market....i dont know about listing...so first i purchase at 76.50 prise at margin....then i was facing big loss thats why i buy 4000 at prise of 27 to average that..now my average is 43.83 shoud i sell my 6000 share as market open or wait for one or two days...i dont want to face more loss already i face 104000Rs loss what to do nw...

Dont ever try to average out this kind of stock. After few years RDB kind of companies may not exist at all. Rather sell and runaway.

Deepak, On what logic did u purchase 6000 shares? (did u really purchase or making fun). If it is intraday u should have booked ur losses. only in group A stocks u can average and recove losses.

PLEASE do not expect anyone to provide 100% correct results. The best that we can hope is that seniors will give their thoughts. We then take our own risk. We cannot DEMAND that the predictions of seniors be correct all the time. If anyone is correct 100% he will be crorepati sitting in palace...instead of getting insults, sarcastic comments on this board. Seniors don't need us, we need seniors.

Thode who are stuck in RDB , should book their losses, please dont try to average ur loss
otherwise it will increase,these type of scripts have no value, so it can fall to any extent...
