The domestic equity indices are seeing a negative start today, tracking a drop in the US markets in overnight trade after Fed Vice-Chairmans comments on US jobs market and stronger-than-expected consumer confidence data stoked fears of a likely rate hike in the near future.
I applied for RBL and was lucky to get 1 lot out of 1 applied. Also I applied through my fathers account and got 1 lot out of 1 applied. Please suggest at what price should I short.
Hi all, I am new entrant to this portal. I have been following this from last six months. I get lot of news and data through this portal and got benefited out of it.
In retail category whether you apply for 1 lot or maximum (Rs 2 lacs), both are small investors. There is no partiality in allotment to those who apply for 1 or 2 lots and the ones who apply for maximum lot
Nobody is watching whether your whole family has applied or only a single person in a family because a question arises that maybe every one in the family is genuinely interested in making investment in the company.
So there is an equal treatment to every applicant in an IPO
It''s only a random selection of applications in their system
PS:-
things will get even worse when more investors will join the race for making quick buck. All thanks to investor education initiative by NSE and others. Number of active demat accounts is projected to rise by 10 times in coming decade. Guess what will be the subscription figures? 100-150 times in retail!!! What will be the chances of allotment then? These things will create huge demand of shares from open market on the listing day which will take prices at exorbitant levels on day 1 of listing. To avoid this; pricing of the issue will be such that there is no room for further rise in price of stock except some percentage points of listing gains.
Prepare yourself for P/E expansion cycle in Indian Equity Markets over next 10 years
Well said Mann ki baat.. completely agree with u....

When I started to apply in IPOs in 1983, the size for most issues were 60 lakhs (6 lakhs shares @10/-). Now it about 400 -500 crores average. So in a decade it will become 2500 crores. That means the over subscription more or less remain same. So don''t worry about increasing investors.
actually in those old days (80''s & 90''s) the basis of allotment used to be directly proportional to no of shares applied, so with bigger lot applications, the chances of minimum lot allotment were good in those days. Also sometimes you could get allotted more than minimum lot also.

Many People Complained That Instead Of Applying Multiple Lots Didnt Got Allotment . Many Told Applied 1 got 1.
Reasons : Dont Be Greedy and Apply So Much. Apply 1 or 2 Lots. Chances will be more. Because Of So much Application , Small Investors Who Apply for 1 Lot Chances Get Diminish. IPO gets Oversubscribed due to Multiple Application .
Leave Some Room For Small investors .. Apply Limited Lots. Stop Using Friends, Relative , Family Member account using Full Force. Trust Your Luck apply limited
Its Just Humble Request. Somewhere Someone must be watching & will give priority to small investors.
