I am trying to understand how to calculate the final probability ratios so pls correct me if I'm incorrect:
Total BHNI as per the table on this forum is 130x and given that they will be allotted sHNI no of shares (if selected) then ballpark ratio for BHNI would be 26:1 (1 out of 26 applications will be selected)
Follow-up question on the above - if I would have made 26 BHNI application that would there be 100% chance of 1 getting selected?
@Chirag Agrawal Lets's say, BHNI applications sub = 22.3x (as per @SONMAYA ) and after technical rejections, it comes to 22x. Theoretically, if you applied 22 BHNI applications, 1 application would be selected and alloted 14 lots. However, practically it's not the case. you might get more than 1 lot or you might not even get a single lot as the selection of each application is an independent event. (It's called probabilty for a reason and you have to factor in luck too.)

Iska ho gaya ho to.......Ab chalo jupiter ke page pr......
If i am applying in retail should u apply maximum lot or the min lot. Does it affect selection as i personally have received allotment only when the lot was min in retail. Respected boarders like @MVP Sir and all please shed some light.
@Indranil For an oversubscribe issue, all the applications of RII, from 1 lot to 13/14/15 max lot (below 2 Lakh) are treated as same. So, if someone applies for more than 1 lot, simply it is blocking of money.

@Indranil Here is the example, from Aeroflex BoA.
All the lot categories from retail had the same allotment ratio, i.e. 11 out 276 people got the allotment. So why block extra money?

Hey Guys, is there any change while making application from ICICI Direct recently? Previously while submitting, it used to add money for application. From this week i noticed it is not asking for allocation. I hope it is not some technical glitch at my end.
@MVP There is no technical glitch... From this week, they are debiting directly in case of retail application... However, in case of SHNI or BHNI, they will ask for add money before accepting the bid.

@Hooda You r late very late in asking this Q. its gonna be obsolete in no time, still it is your demat account registered in someone else s bank account to use their fund to apply . was legal once upon a time, from Dec 23 no more 3rd party.

Let's say Mr. A is using his bank account to apply for IPO in the name of Mr. B. So, the funds are of Mr. A and the DMAT account and PAN is of Mr. B. This is 3rd party application. A few banks are still letting customers do it.

Hello,
Getting alert in Axis asba " I hereby declare that the above mentioned PAN belongs to me. I, solely will be liable for any legal or financial implications for furnishing the wrong information. Bank shall not be liable for any misinformation submitted on my behalf."
So, from now 3rd party ASBA not allowed ? or we can still apply 3rd party ?
3rd Party ASBA application should not be used. This facility is not available in ICICI bank. We hv seen that Axis bank still has the option. Even in Chittorgarh website is written "Banks in India no more offer the 3rd Party ASBA IPO application starting from 1st May 2022."
