I am skipping this ipo. Nothing special about the company. Plenty other opportunities in this market correction. Only worth ipo applying is mapmyindia and Adani Wilmar.

Pahle Paytm aor uske baad Star ne pura mood hi kharab kar diya market ka, kitna achcha chal raha tha. Sab khush the. Abhi dekho log chhach (dahi) ko bhi fook fook k pi rahe hain..
ye log ghatiya maal bhi menhge daam pe bechna chahte hain. janta jaag gyi h ab ye nahi chalega
1-2 aor bumper listing gain ho toh market sentiment improve ho.

@ Admin, You are showing % reservations of different categories based on requests from members. Great response by you. Keep it up. There is huge improvement in your service.
Delighted to see that you noticed it as well. We did too and have debunked some of their false narratives but the eventual result is always in the hands of the investor.
We have tried to warn long term and HNI investors to tread with caution on this one while discussing not only the business but also the financial aspects in brief; all the while advising prospective investors to carefully read through the RHP and discuss it with a seasoned professional having sufficient combined exposure in technology, travel, and finance.
With stags, they are in it only for listing gains and its a whole different story. They are never in it to win it and for them, its all in and out and thats what its all about. Its the naive investors who get stuck eventually.
Kudos once again for taking notice of the ''New Member'' propaganda.
@VPS - Agreed. The business, founders and management team are good but the valuation is crazy pathetic! At best, some 3-4x revenue but at 10/11x FY20 revenue! I''d bow out...let the profitability show up and then if it looks promising many of us would be willing to buy it even at 20x revenue like many of us did for Zomato/Nykaa...but for now...
RateGain...Not so much medium/long term ProfitGain for me! Keep minting!

Agreed. Never seen such desperation in ''good'' marketing on this forum.

These "New Member" are the real day light robbers...advocating something they shouldn''t have in a very concerted and organized manner in the RTT thread. I hope they find a way to live with their dirty conscience! Somewhat of a similar trend in HPA too.
It''s tough to make money but very easy to lose it...let''s not get greedy in future IPO''s and let go of a chance to make a few bucks if the downside is greater! Keep minting!
I agree with Neo''s comment - "It''''s tough to make money but very easy to lose it..." Be cautious what you write as that may impact others who are genuinely looking for good advice. Also we should appreciate people who are giving/sharing their knowledge so that all can benefit.
Disclaimer-i dont have any RTT shares, so no hard feelings against anyone.
Quick analysis of RTT since it might be important whilst deciding between Star Health/Tega/ARW/RTT for those with limited funds in Retail or HNI:
Implied M-Cap of INR 4,536 cr based on upper price band.
Best year of financial performance was FY20 with ~INR 400 cr operating revenue and ~INR 60 cr of other income. This other income is what helped the business show operating profits in FY20. In FY19 on operating revenue of INR 265 cr, operating EBITDA margin was about 8%. Hence, the business is capable of quick scale up and decent profitability. But will I pay almost 10/11 times M-Cap/FY 20 Revenue even if COVID had not happened? Unlikely! Decent business but very very expensive pricing! I''d be skipping...will share a more detailed update later. Keep minting!
@K.Atar - I too am a commoner like everyone else here and learning from and sharing on this forum.
Will share my perspective on ARW soon...but between the runaway success of Tega and the strong (much to my surprise) GMP of RTT, ARW doesn''t seem to stand much of a chance despite its 50x of FY21 and 25x of FY22 PE. There are numerous other AMC''s, Depositories, Exchanges, Wealth Managers that are listed and are perceived to be better investment stories. Wind seems to be behind Tega/RTT/ARW/Star and in that order. Keep minting!

@ Neo sir,, even the above analysis will do the job on ARW. Got the hint. On RTT the gmp is may seem surprising - but we all flow with the sentiments of the market and make some decent money.
May God bless YOU and all the Gurus of this forum more in years to come. Thanks 🙏🙏
Hope today''s lesson is well recieved. RTT doesn''t deserve the valuations the management and existing investors are seeking or the GMP that the market is attributing.
Maybe Omicron will turnout to be a damp squib and thereby bettering the prospects of this business but valuation will still be crazy and better to buy once price in the market has settled after IPO rather than buy though an IPO.
Also, @VSP has shared some excellent perspectives on the fundamentals and business analysis. Must read!
Competition and Ecosystem is always a good way to understand valuation of a company – so competitors mentioned in DRHP is SiteMinder. Similar sized to RateGain at around 350 Cr revenue and got listed this year in Australia Stock Exchange at INR 12,600 Cr valuation (which is 35X multiple). This valuation is also similar to how Freshworks was valued The outside world is able to understand travel-technology because of a lot of players that exist there already – but Indian market does not as of today and that will work in favor of early retail investors who jump on the bandwagon Based on their current runrate of August 31st in RHP – they will do around 300 Crore this year and removing the 400CR primary existing shares would be valued at around 12-13X which is quite low for SaaS model
The IPO is valued at 18.1x FY21 price-to-sales and 15.1x FY22 annualized price-to-sales, which is at a discount of 27.3x to PayTM and 31.7x to Zomato (at CMP). While there is no listed peer available for a direct comparison to RateGain in the domestic market, its valuations at ~50% discount to unicorns like Zomato and Paytm give comfort on valuation front. In the new era of internet and AI-based software services, we believe the premium valuation of company is likely to sustain. Covid-19 has accelerated the digitization process of customer interactions with hospitality and travel companies. These changes are likely to lead to a shift in business practices by hospitality and travel companies from an in-house solution model to third party software and services model. RateGain serves a large and rapidly-growing total addressable market. Third party travel and hospitality technology are likely to clock a CAGR of 18% over the next five years and indicates a healthy growth in the long run. In view of the high growth potential, unique business propositions with minimal competition and valuation comfort, we recommend SUBSCRIBE with a long-term perspective.
You are advocating for long term investment. Does it mean it has nothing at present? Why should we count the chicken before it is hatched that too at a sky high cost ?
EquityBulls with this sort of a recommendation will sure drag us all into a Bear phase by helping us lose our money.
How can they justify a 15/20x price/sales valuations based on Paytm with which the entire investor community had a dreadful experience and future remains uncertain. As for comparison with Zomato, it operates in an industry with currently only 1 large peer in India (Swiggy) and with a huge market opportunity in India and beyond - the strong listing and the trending of the share price since then is enough vindication! Also they both are essentially B2C companies and Rategain is a B2B company...completely misleading recommendation!
Seems like another paid stooge at work!
If ones needs to rely on such a selection of companies to justify their valuation then there really is no sense in justifying a valuation at all!

@drakesh Using an excerpt from an article to justify the pricing isn''t going to help u convince others. If you are sure, you apply. equitybulls comparing rategain with zomato and paytm is the biggest joke and nonsensical article i''ve come across. First of all paytm should not even deserve this valuation so its out of question. Zomato operates in a highly monopolistic environment presently where its only competitor is swiggy and the potential to grow business is multifold. Rategain has not shown any improvement as such in its core business that it should demand such valuation. The sector is attractive but the valuation is a joke.

15% down from IPO price of 425 to 360 and with apparently significant further downward pressure...so unfortunate to see all this red on the RTT screen! Please be judicious in IPO selection!
@neolongus sir it gave 1300 profit in anand rathi where you posted: "ONE WORD...SKIP!" so things always don''t happen same way

@Montyy - Sure but what I feel is that less than 10% pre-tax profit in an IPO where money is locked up for a week is more a fluke than a discerning judgement. Also, all my opinions are based on applying and holding in companies for the long term and not for an IPO flip. I don''t believe in IPO flipping and in investing base on GMP''s since there is enough evidence to suggest that it can be managed. Hope that explains why I said SKIP for both AR and RTT. For those who believe in IPO flips and GMP and rightfully enjoy the chance of 10% profits and/or a chance of equivalent or more losses, my opinions on IPO''s should not matter. To each their own! Keep minting!
ok fine sir, understood. so since as u said your views are mainly for the long term and not based on GMP and like in AR also as per you, its not good for long term and short terms gains from ipo does not matter and you didn''t posted back in AR after listing, then no need to post here also now again in your older post to take credit of 15% down listing, lets see in long term here too
the message board now looks like a story site too big comments oops i can'';t read them .........explain me in short if anyone have understood in one liner......

Story hoti to time pas bhi ho jata. There are now critical analyst pannel sitting on both sides. Of course those looking for quick IPO money without such understanding get confused in those arguments. Everyone cannot understand all these detail and technological jargons adds to the complexity.
Should we create a simple sub thread like HNI... [Retail Thread Here👇👇👇] with simple guide to apply or avoid by senior members?
