Volume(+20%) and sales growth(43% CAGR FY21-23) are attracting me. EBITDA margin and other ratios are pushing me away from this(EBITDA is half of leading players and PAT Margin around 1/3rd of leading players).
Wire cable business has just 7% EBITDA margin and it contributes 89% of total sales while Polycab has 14%, Finolex 13.6%, KEI & Havells around 10.5%.
FMEG business is in loss and has around negative 10% EBITDA constitute for 11% of total sales.
I haven't taken valuation in consideration as of now. Will take in consideration while making final decision.

W&C sector doesn't have innovative or super growth products. They should grow in line with growth of economy and demand in construction and infrastructure sectors. Fluctuation in commodities like Copper, Aluminium etc(Raw material cost is 80% of total revenue for RR Kabel)affect their margin and it is not much in control of these companies. Improving margin beyond a limit is very not possible as they have to more depend on operating leverage, efficiency and brand loyalty.

One thing I can say with certainty that it doesn't even come closer to Polycab in terms of quality and don't expect Polycab kind of return from this company. Polycab kind of IPO comes once in few years.
W&C stocks have already made a decent run-up and it looks they are just coming to reap benefit of bull market and attractiveness of this sector. RR Kabel is like small fish in big & scattered market and it won't be easy to grab market share from leading players like Havells or Polycab etc. They are coming with around 90% OFS whereas they could have taken this opportunity to expand their capacities as they are already working on 70-80% capacities.
It gives me Vibes of Paint industry where leaders keep on getting stronger and small players struggle with them.
It's not final analysis. It's just preliminary analysis based on bird eye view of RHP and sharing with you all what I am reading and what I am analysing while reading.I would be looking forward to management interview and read RHP indepth if time permits and try to forcast growth and valuation if time permits and eventually anchor book and QIB demand.
GMP is not a factor of my analysis.

​@Jetha Lal Sir, thanks for your analysis and bringing out very important points related to this IPO.
Although R R Kabel is a well known brand in the field of W&C but as rightly pointed out by you, it is far behind brands like Havells & Polycab.
The most worrying part is falling margins YoY and lowest margins as compared to its peers. Since maximum part of IPO is OFS and valuations are rich, hardly anything is left on the table for investors. Polycab proved to be multibagger because it came at very low valuations (only 16 PE) and is still at 53 PE despite giving 10x returns.
R R Kabel is definitely trying to encash the present IPO bull run. It may be prudent to wait for anchor list to gauge the institutional demand.
Would eagerly wait for your final verdict Sir. 🙏

We are getting allotment/no allotment SMS and email from registrar, your bank and BSE/NSE very late, actually you already know you did/didn't get the allotment. Those messages and emails delivered very late and adds no value. In fact, we remain very near to listing day.

Polycab ipo came in the year 2019 @538 at 16.75 multiplication.
But RR Label is coming out @ 1035 at 61.5 multiplication.
The Polycab grow from 538 to 5400 in 5 years.
Can we see the repetattion of Polycab in RR Kabel.

Presently KEI & FInolex cables are trading @ 45.8 & 32.1 valuations. One may give higher valuations if it's a leader in it's field. But here RR Kabel is not a leader in Cabel & FMEG . The Promoter & Lead Manager are just taking the advantage of present boom of the market. They are just fooling the people and their daring is really a lesson for us. But we can't boycott it just like PKH & ADAni.

Anyway I have decided what I have to do and let the others may also take action as per their wisdom as it's their hard earned money🤑💸💵💴💶💰💳.

By the way Big 💪 big congratulations to the GARGI members. Yesterday it touched its ATH LEveL @ 319.90 . PNGS grow ☝💪from 30 to 319 in just less than a year which is really very unbelievable.

I think something is cooking in this stock like bonus / split / right issue may be the reason for this upward movement. Does anyone who holds & know the reason , please share it.

GMP down from 250 to 130.
Just think what the GMP would be on closure of the ipo. This ipo is mainly for promoters and not benefitting the public. We have seen good correction in Mid cap & Small cap stocks & this is the just beginning. If this correction continues , we may get very good options in the secondary market. I am looking now secondary market for good options rather than applying in overvalued ipos.
