Since there is an assumption that UPI or ASBA has better allotment chances than each other, here's some personal statistics that prove that it's NOT TRUE. Bank, UPI, ASBA, day or time of application (unless you're into astrology, which is okay), or gender of the applicant, etc. do not matter. It's just pure luck.

Data since Dec 2020 when I started keeping records:

136 - No of total retail applications (including multiple applications for oversubscribed IPOs)
053 - No of allotments
028 - Allotments made via UPI
025 - Allotments made via ASBA

Interesting notes:

When I made 3 applications for LIC, I got allotment in all. One was ASBA, 2 were UPI.

For MapMyIndia, MedPlus, Campus and Supriya, I got 1 allotment via HDFC ASBA when my other application was also via SBI ASBA.

The only rights issue I have ever participated in (IHCL) was via ASBA and I got a huge windfall there. Issue price on 24 Nov 2021 was INR 150. CMP: 417.

Sona Comstar was the only IPO I applied offline and I got 2 retail lots.

Hope this quells the doubts. The mantra therefore is to just apply and forget. If you're lucky, you'll get allotment. If you're not, move on to next IPO.

Yup but messages are being circulated for 20,
even tuesday is holiday for market so seems not possible.
Tomorrow circular migh be out with confirm date :)

Can allotment come tonight of RR kabels on Linkintime website. Because Asba applications are still pending.

Sorry not possible today, tomorrow its quite possible atleast ASBA or on LinkInTime site.

Got allotment SBI UPI 3/6.
When lot size is bigger, I get allotment for smaller lot size no luck yet

My SBI mandate revoked now.

Just checked n found phonepe also unblocked.

My SBI ASBA amount for 10 retail is still blocked..neither amount debited in any a/c..any Sbi ASBA user please confirm if his amount is debited or unblocked. Thanks in advance..

This time I had accepted 5 upi mandates from one account and 2 from another.
Got 1/5 from first account and 1/2 from second account.

Got allotment of 2/3 of 3rd Party UPI still 4 Result of ASBA is still pending.

How and where to check allotment. Applied Bhni through YES Bank ASBA. Amount still blocked that means no allotment?

If application Accept and BIDED then...
You will get 4 to 5 allote out of your 7 Retail..

I think UPI applications get more allotment than ASBA.

Can't predict the same

for everyone who thinks there is no fair allotment in IPOs should know i got 09/10 retail applications i applied here , and i was never alloted from linkintime before but this time when subscription was less i was alloted many lots , hence i know that it is pure luck , applying on 1st day , 2nd day , last day doesnt matter , nor does upi and asba and banks ,, only times to block / unblock the money may vary from bank to bank and mode to mode , ive used all modes and all banks and almost all top brokers , it doesnt make a differnce so keep on applying regulary and donate at least 1 -2 % of listing profits to poor and needy people ,

First of all I tried to comment this since last 2 days on the original post but as soon as I reply the post became disables, do not know why so I pointed that to @Admin @ Chittorgarh.com to look in to that.

Kousik Ji & ValueSeeker Ji, I totally agree with your post, my point was to the members who are in fear mode of negative listing after applying (even when they waited near to cut-off time to check for QIB subscription and then they applied based on it - I am myself one of them).

The initial post was for installing some confidence in those members that how R R Kabel fared in comparison to recently concluded EMS in terms of amount applied in it.

Still I want to clarify one thing that this is Stock Market and anything can happen with R R Kabel on listing (even negative too). The most recent example of this Retail/HNI fear was properly explained by Mankind, nothing changes in Mankind fundamentals 6 months but see it's listing and then it's run till now.
