JUST BY MY OBSERVATION AND ON SOME CALCULATIONS... I CAN GUESS DAY HIGH AND DAY LOW OF P&SB.. PRICE RANGE 145.40 TO 179.60 .... OPENS BETWEEN 157-159... BY SOME CALCULATIONS.. I WILL EXPLAIN AFTER IPO FINISHES ONLY IF IM TRUE...
MY DEAR FRIENDS.. BEST PRICE TO APPLY FOR HEAVILY SUBSCRIBED IPO'S OR IN GENERAL IS IN BETWEEN 90000- 104000..... JUST OBSERVE BASIS OF ALLOTMENT OF SOME REPUTED SHARES AND OBSERVE... ARE AT THIS PRICE RANGE ONE CAN GET THE SAME NO.. OF SHARES AS THOSE WHO APPLIED FOR FULL AMOUNT.. SIGNIFICANCE 1 LAKH SAVED AND FREED FROM THIS ASBA UNBLOCKING NONSENSE.. I SEEN NEARLY 20 TO 25 IPOS .. THIS IS PURELY MY ANALYSIS.. THIS HINT IS FOR THOSE WHO APPLY IN FULL TO GAIN MORE PROFIT.. INTURN BLOCKING THEIR MONEY AND NOT MAKING IT AVAILABLE FOR SECONDARY MARKETS..
If one has applied with 2 lakh, the chances that you will get allotment are 3:4 (74 %). Out of every 4 people who applied with 2 lakh, 3 people will get allotment and 1 will not get allotment. If you applied with 1 lakh, the chances are 3:8 (37 %). It is based on the below calculation: For 2 lakh application: 198,000/(44.45*6,000) = 0.74 0r 74% For 1 lakh application: 99,000/(44.45*6,000) = 0.37 or 37% and so on. You can calculate your chances based on the above formula. [198,000 = amount applied; 6,000 = lot amount (50*120); 44.45 = RII oversubscription]. Though the formula applies in general, some people with many 2 lakh applications may not get allotment, and some with many 50,000 applications can get allotments in all applications. Luck is a strong factor since each family is applying only 2 or 3 applications. If we put 40 applications, then luck is minimized. - Subhasreddy, Hyderabad
There is something called as a basis for IPO allotment. Based on this allotments are made.If the issue is oversubscribed then the allotments are made on the basis of lottery. No one decides who gets it/doesnt get it.Id's are picked up by the system based on pure lottery.
i applied 100 shares @120 on first day of application....still i didnt got single allotment..... whats the basic funda behind allotment......... which idiots decides whom to allot shares and whom to not........
Agree with "1185 K V Subba Rao". I raied the same point earlier - nothing has changed by increasing the retail limit from 1L to 2L. All those who used to apply from multiple accounts earlier - continue to do so even now. Only difference is someone with 10 accounts earlier could apply for shares worth 10L. Now, they can apply for shares worth 20L.
This is essentially driving all good IPOs to be heavily over-subscribed thereby reducing the chance of allotment for "real" retail investors who apply with one account - that too less than 1 lakh. So, in reality SEBI's decision has favoured HNIs to tab retail shares better.
