We must agree, this ipo failed overall. Many lost their money. Now it's movement depend on how the company performs and it's results. Leave it to secondary market.

Mana people from PR agencies hired by the company coming up with IPO create new IDs and start promoting that IPO. While the moderator blocks them as soon as they come to know but there is a delay because of the manual process. This is what we are trying to address with this new feature.

As of now the criteria is 1 month from registration but it will keep evolving based on feedback from people like you.

Please keep posting your views on this feature or any new features you would like to see on this website. You could post a message here addressing admin or send a message through the contact us form.

Reminds me of some mistakes I did earlier in my life, chasing stocks in which i was loosing money by trying to average them at all falls, later i learnt to book out losses and try to recover in some other good quality share, i can understand it is very hard to book losses

@Junglee, i learnt that already booked losses in ITC and invested somewhere else, but some times u have faith in a stock it will rise someday, seeing irrigation
and infra projects I'm positive on prince pipes, though not adding anymore now, will just hold and see how many years it takes to reach that level. Once reach will exit if not will keep on holding. No issues.

The thing is chai paani can cost u a 5 star hotel dinner sometimes???? Will never do intra day as it is addictive and once u are into it, I don't think anyone can come out without booking huge losses. Always up for delivery.

You can wait for a correction or dip towards 122-121-123 for Ster Tech then if it comes back to 115-116, you can avg out to bring ur avg @ 120
Dont hold Prince re. I dont think that stock will go anywhere as per me. my opinion.
Instead look for Buying Opportunities in ITC and Ster Tech they are lambi race k ghode
ITC u can buy only after budget not before budget. and with that If option writing strategy is applied it will give u 12000 p.m. sureshot I have strategies. but for that u will require 5,50,000/- then I can guarantee u 10,000 p.m. every month

yash i agree about day trading, u r right but selective trades can be done with STRICT STOPLOSS if hit before 9.55 a.m in case of short trades.

I'm almost invested, just waiting for some higher returns. Joined this forum only for doubts on Shareholders quota of the ipo.Whether we can apply both shareholder and retail quota from a single demat account, like rejections occur due to invalid applications, but had a conversation with you. Prince just made my work simple, atleast it got confirmed I'm filling forms for ipo properly, that was what was required before big IPO's on the line.

i would advice to be an Investor, Trading i would never advice a newbie, and stick to quality stocks, if you feel infra is the theme to be in, why not look at market leaders, why prince? why not Larsen? why not the cement stocks. Please trust me these stocks will be forgotten as days pass

Ride a donkey if you want but please ensure you leave it before you enter your village, dont take it home

Remember your core long term portfolio should be mainly bluechip shares and high quality midcaps, which should be held patiently

Sterlite tech has been trading in 10 Rs since one month, any reason you are suggesting it now ? as there are so many people who are stuck in that stock at much higher levels.

Sterlite Tech is one of the cheapest valuated companies in MIDCAP IT!
ALL MIDCAP IT SHARES have gone up in Last few weeks trading at 15-20 times PE.
But this hasnt gone up and trading at inexpensive 8 PE and trading with mkt cap of only 4500 CR which is extreamly less taking into consideration valuations.

Rest is your choice,

To pick winners, you will have to pick good stock when it is ignored by everyone

Valuation ke hisaab se looks fine to me, but still what would be your long term target for this stock? And if i have a look at it the retailer holding is more when compared to other category. Please put some light on this.
And What levels can be seen in like 1 or two years or even 6 months according to you?
If i choose for long term i have a minimum view of 70% returns.

Who said Sterlite technology is a Midcap IT company?? its belongs to the Infamous vedanta group of Anil Agarwal, its is manufacturer of fibre optical cable, the vedanta group is known for its volatile movement in stock, At this price i dont feel there is much downward risk but calling it an IT company is wroing

I can hold it for long even for 2 - 3 years, but i will exit once my levels are reached. Hoping for it to reach there in 3-6 months, depends on how much it closes and opens this week, will surely add some in dips.

and i have only one lot which is not a worry for me as i have seen my risk appetite and only opted for one lot.

Sterlite Technologies Ltd is small cap fund with market cap of 4,604cr. 1 year return -59.88%.
52w high 301.85 and 96.60 at low respectively.
It falls under Communication service- Telephone Equipments.
Currently it is trading at 110- 115 range.
In 5 year it has given 137.93% return but currently it is giving negative return.

@yahsinghal 3-6 months seems to be fair , I think I will hold it , just two - three sessions more to stabilize ,

as far as today all weak hands are out and those who wants to exit are out as well , only HNI & Strong hands are remaining ... lets hope for the best ...

But it closed at the down side, creating average of the whole trade today .. lets see how it opens in the coming days.

Vedanta isn't Bad Company. @Junglee you are speaking about Sterlite Copper Company which was Subsidiary of Vedanta. Sterlite Technology is totally different company.
The government of Tamil Nadu ordered the smelter shut permanently on May 28 last year after bloody protests at the plant in the city of Thoothukudi culminated in police opening fire on demonstrators.
This is the main reason for volatile in its share price. And stock is 2.95x as volatile as nifty which is considered to be moderate risk.

Bhugz Sir, with due respect to you, I am not saying Vedanta is a bad company because of the Pollution issue, its a bad company because of its greedy promoters, go back in history when the flagship company of this group, stole shares of shareholders from their demat account by wording the buy back letter to shareholders wrongly, Vedanta suffers from corporate governance, I dont say Strerlite Technology may not bounce back, it may but dont trust these vedanta guys. And yes. its very much a Vedanta group Company

Te drop in share price is because of heavy dumping by china, which has resulted the prices of the finished product of the company dropping by almost 70%

Beaten down stock, secondly cnbz awaaz promoted it today in their 20-20 programme saying 5g coming 5 g coming and demand for fibre optic cable to increase, such momentum good for trading, stock promoted on CNBC usually reacts in a day or two

Bcoz of mkt cap of paltry 4500 CR, i called it a midcap. And it comes in midcap IT index.
It is very good for long term horizon of 2 years.
I see target of Rs 195,Rs 230,Rs 300 by 2021 or Mid 2022.

Any one has any idea on dwarikesh sugar? Daily crossing 52 wk highs. Are sugar stocks really on a rally in 2020?

If you haven't sold by now then you will have to hold for quite a long time. I would suggest to average it when it goes down by another 15-25%

Downrite, i averaged it down to 160 now, long for 1 year is good enough to see 200+ levels?

It is a huge positive sign as pledging of shares done by promoters is a very big negative on the company and now that they have paid the amount and no shares are pledged now.

But the papers were sent to the stock exchange today, since u have 14 lots i hope it should be in up trend tomorrow as even i added few shares at 150 levels.
It is a good company, promoters pledged shares was a big issue now the concern is they recovered their shares from being pledged but are they holding it still? If they are holding then it should show a greater up move tomorrow, if they have sold their shares then the down trend will continue. If they hold then its a good sign.

This news will not make any difference as it was pre decided before ipo open, everyone knew ofs amount part was going to bail out pledged shares.
