Applied first time in Sme ipo.. goes for 40 lot block 54 lakh and still 50% chance of allotment .. this is totally insane..

@lokes, I see Noorul point on me, being heavy on all IPO investing and believing in all IPO businesses. I agree with him. However, I invested heavily in few IPO''s like Gland pharma, just with pure guts, as I look for good ROI compare to bank NRI deposits. Hence I go with my gut feelings and take losses or gain on my own decisions. Still I try to take recommendations from Gurus (like Anketiaf) or anyone who gives some facts in the forum which matters. some times I go heavy even if NII subscriptions less, wanting to get allotted more lots (than trying to a lot or two in heavily subscribed IPO), if there is something I see good in that IPO. Some of them great clicks, some back fires. You need really luck (than your brilliance), few of those great clicks like Gland pharma or Angel broking or Sona or even an Exxaro or a Vijaya to counter those back fire (comes from Car or windlas or aptus). I take it with both hands. :)

@MRavi: ya i understood all these things and i know sometimes only luck favours in this way but no one knows already which ipo will turn out to be dark horse...
and i knew he was informing you for these points, i was just saying generally that i also sometimes go against the flow and sometimes i do differ from noorul''s view as in vijaya he recommended me not to accept mandate but i just tried, so i am just saying about opinions and there is no harm in having different opinion sometimes....

Appwise and total subscription in SME Ipo is same since retail individuals can apply only 1 lot.

Since in HNI segment, 79x subscription has happened, will only applications who have applied for a minimum of 79 lots, get 1 lot?

@IPOExperimenter, yes those who applied minimum 79 lots will get 1 lot confirmed and those who applied less number of lots will be in lottery, so not confirmed allotment, but may get 1 lot in lottery as per my understanding. Experts may provide more detailed explanation.
