I am applying for Bhni for the first time

I need some guidance here please
So If i apply for 10Lac and issue oversubscribe 10 times then how i will get allotment here and what are my chances of allotment ?

1. In this case, chances are for 1 allotment per 10 applications.
2. In case of BHNI, each allotee will get minimum lots of BHNI category(i.e. 2lakh allotment)

Do Exit After a Significant Listing Gain (100%+)

When an IPO debuts at a premium of 100-120% or more, I advocate for an expedient exit, preferably on the subsequent trading session following the listing day. While many investors succumb to the allure of further gains, anticipating new highs, I contend that this juncture represents the optimal moment to realize profits. Although one might forgo an additional 10-15% upside, the strategic advantage lies in liberating capital for reallocation into the secondary market or other IPOs presently available for subscription.

Historically, stocks that debut with such significant gains tend to face consistent weekly declines, often taking years to return to their listing-day levels.

Strategic Buying on Undervalued Listings

Conversely, a stock with robust fundamentals that lists significantly below its Grey Market Premium (GMP) due to external factors represents a strong buying opportunity, whether for short-term or long-term investment. In a bullish market environment, it is advisable to purchase a substantial position on the listing day and to add more shares on every subsequent 5% dip. However, this strategy requires a solid understanding of the stock's fundamentals and a strong conviction in its underlying value.

NetWeb last year debuted at around 950 with 95% gains on listing . It went around 870 on listing day and went further down to 780 levels over next few days. Now its price after 1 year of listing is 2800. There are many examples of good stocks which listed decently like 30-40% gains but still below listing price now. Not every listing will work like that

Obviously, Netweb performed well; I cannot disagree. But my point of view and the purpose of the message is that one should not take entry out of FOMO.

I never said to buy stocks that are listed at 30-40. I meant that stocks listed with a low premium should be entered only if the GMP was higher and the fundamentals are strong, which I also mentioned.

No thesis is 100% sure, but for the short term, this works really well.

When a stock lists at a 100% premium, give it room for a 7% downfall. If it comes within the initial minutes, then exit. If the stock tries to sustain, do not exit immediately; it may lead to an UC.
There will be mistakes, but if you have made your strategy clear, your chance of being wrong will definitely reduce.

Which banks offer ASBA application for multiple accounts through one login? (joint account facility or with linking minor account).

HDFC Bank is the one which offers it. Any other bank?

​@imsaurabhforu In HDFC ASBA, one needs to key in DP name and demat account manually, everytime.
If you keep applying, will get used to it. Not a big deal. Just recheck the numerals before submitting.

​@Imhilli Do you have minor account linked with your account? When you click in IPO Application through ASBA, in the next page you have to select Minor's acccount and then in the new page you have to enter all minor details.

@imsaurabhforu No there is no option to save investor details, we have to punch demat no. everytime. Like @Chhote Lal mentioned, you get used to it eventually.

It is still better than banks which requires OTP (if you are applying from others).

Since many of us are using multiple accounts, just want to know one thing. Which broking app offers multiple account addition on the same app with "Switch Account" feature.

My experience is as below.
Zerodha - Not Available
Dhan - 2 accounts
Kotak - 2 accounts
Upstox - There is an option, I haven't used it.
Prostock - Not Available
Groww - Not Available

Please add other brokers who have this feature.

you if have laptop you can handle multiple accounts seemlesly. but if you want to use mobile you can use 2 accounts in one single phone by enabling second space. cloning is best solution but it will irritate sometimes.

I use phone pe to block amt &hold bank acc in sbi. It's been long time for two ipo amt is still blocked I don't remember ipo's for which it was blcoked since I apply each ipo how can I remove hold from that amt since it is showing in lien amt in internet banking from long time

​@ASMKT Phone pay has autopay feature which has date mentioning in what date the mandate will expire .Normally Phonepe autopay hold removed the next day after allotment. But in some cases hold remove in one week and rare cases the mandate automatically expired on date mentioned in autopay request.In this case you have to visit your home branch and ask them to remove your hold and also Email the registrar for requesting about removing hold for the IPO and app. No. With Bank account name and Ac No. So don't worry do these things the money will unblock soon.

​@ASMKT Phonepe must be having details of the IPO you applied. Find out the details of IPOs for which hold is not removed, then email your bank (better still visit your branch) and registrar to the respective IPOs..

They will remove it..
