Account freeze cases are raising everyday. Is it online account? Maybe they will ask KYC documents if you opened the account online. Also it is first time I am hearing PSU banks freezing accounts. Banks like indusind, kotak, IDFC etc doing it.

Have you done a big tick transaction in two digit lakhs?

​@shri kishan meena Banks have powers to ask for source of funds specially for large size transactions. Once the account is flagged, it can be frozen as well which seems to be your case too. Nothing to worry, you may need some documentation or re-kyc and funds will be made available. Only concern here is the time. Keep following up with your branch, it will eventually be sorted out. ​@Shahed Broker apps sometimes are not updated. If your funds are blocked, application should get through.
Why did you apply for 5 lots in oversubscribed issue? It is of no use bidding for more than 1 lot in oversubscribed issues, why block funds unnecessarily 🤔

UPI is also easy to use efficient method for applying in IPOs.

Benefits of using UPI

- Convenient through mobile apps.
- Can apply through brokers provided the broker offers UPI IPO facility.
- Pre-IPO application possible provided the broker offers the said services.
- Get extended time upto 5 pm for accepting mandates.

However, at times mandates are delayed or do not come at all. To overcome this, one should apply during first day or second day itself. Mandates can always be approved on last day.

​@govisi Once you've exceeded your daily transaction limit, you'll receive the 'Risk threshold exceeded' notification.
Understand from some posts in the forum that more than 6 mandates per day are getting declined.

​@govisi @Chhote Lal I am sharing my fund transfer from BHIM with PSU Bank.
I initiated Bhim upi to my own account but I got the reply "Risk threshold exceeded". This was my first fund transfer today. I had sufficient funds in my account. I again tried upi for lesser amount, again the same message.
Then I again initiated fund transfer by upi in my wife's account, the transfer initiated successfull. Thereafter again I initiated upi transfer in my wife's account, now unsuccessful with same message.
Then I initiated fund transfer by upi in my daughter's account., transaction was successful.
Not able to understand the process of BHIM, UPII with PSU BANK. All transfers were from my only one account.

Yeah I got it after 6 mandates, any solution to this? Or any other ways to apply 3rd party ipos? This is really annoying.

​@govisi NPCI is tightening screws it seems. Banned third party applications which in some cases are going through will be thing of past pretty soon. It may be annoying, but purposely being done.

​@govisi Personally I don't apply using UPI, but have you tried it from different upi accounts ?

I hope the limit of 6 mandate is per UPI account, so you can create multiple upi account and use it.

​ @AmateurInvestor It is not at all lukewarm response in retail segment. As per big size of issue, retail quota applicants have participated whole heartedly. Rs 990 Cr portion is subscribed 7 times, about 40 L plus applications in retail, what else was expected 🤔

​@Chhote Lal Ji. My surprise was that i was expecting retail by more than 10x given the gmp as per my understanding. Thats why i asked ji. Maybe lukewarm might be wrong given my inadequate experience in this field. I was actually happy to see 7x wishing i get allotment atleast in this ipo as i had applied yesterday itself after reading about the company and begin my tally of ipo allotment for this FY. Now I'm surprised and doubt if my count will begin with ipo or not🫣

From now on remember that a good ipo receives around 25-30lk applications only in retail. Since this has high gmp and ipo market is hot, so the extra 5-6lk applications. Only the very household names like tata was able to cross 50lk applications, which i think bajaj will be able to repliacate the same.
