Hello everyone.. I had confusion on buying the stocks on opening day at listing price.. Made good decision in JSW Infra, IREDA, OLA and made some worst decision in Flair, Vibhor steel, Uni commerce to name few.
So did a short analysis on IPO performance based on listing day gains and present performance.

Came through some important facts. IPO's which had negative listing or listing gain less than 50% have given more than 100% returns and stocks which had steller performance > 50% on listing day gave low returns if the stocks bought on listing day opening price.

​@KDEVP your analysis is not true for all use cases . Dmart , Irctc opened more then doubled on listing day ... I have sold them and now they are multi bagger almost 10x-15x.

​@KDEVP ​ You cant generalize like this you will only run circles and get frustrated. It mainly depends if the theme is in motion, the earning visibility etc etc

@Sachin jc the ipo name you mentioned i think all SME no main board ipo in your list i think except ireda in last few year which gives multiple return of 4 or 5 time no ipo gives 4 time return.

I got 1out of 2 applications. My spouse is lucky this time she just debuted into ipo allotment. I was trying to apply for every ipo from last 2 months. Recently i booked my profilts in alfom industries at 442 level.

Ye woh 5 company hai, jo solar sector se judi hai. Listing ke bad 1 saal me 4 guna se 10 guna return fe chuki hai. Chart check kar lo. So don't sell on listing day. Hold it long term. Wish you all the best.

These numbers are based on no of shares applied but how to check by how many times it is oversubscribed by no of applications ?

Check Basis Of allotment page once it is released by the RTA. You will find all details over there.

Or you can check few other sites that provide this data. Search it on the web

Hello everyone, I received an allotment in a government employee account. Is it compulsory to exit on the listing day, or can I hold it for a few more days to see the more returns?

Now coming to valuations for the company with high growth, sector in focus by government, people's interest, leader in sector it can easily sustain pe of 80.....
Share price may continue to increase further with increase in earnings and pe adjustment accordingly
So target of 2000 in ayear is achievable...!

I want to buy this ipo shares as i havent alloted. Will it be same as tata tech ipo. Like tata tech have opened with 1400(150%) listing gains and then it has corrected nearly 400 points.
By seeing this ipo gmp, it is showimg nearly 100-110% listing gains. Will it follow same kind story or will have a different path.
And it is a mainboard ipo which can be flactuations after great listing gains.
Yes its future is seems bright.

Tata Technologies IPO price was reasonably priced so the listing gains were exceptional. Even Premier energies priced it good as per FY25 numbers and it is cheap compared to peers.

Tata Technoloiges after listing did not perform well as it listed beyond everyone's expectations (140% gains) and results declared after listing were not as per market expectations and for another couple of quarters this may show growth but not 20 to 30% kind of growth whereas Premier Energies is showing wonderful growth YoY (Revenues got more than doubled and profit grew more than 800% in FY24 compared to FY23) for which market would like to pay premium even after listing with current GMP.

Reasons for those who got allotment and to buy at listing as well provided you have minumum 6 months to 1 year invesment horizon.

1. All the peers (Inox wind, Waaree Renewable Technologies, Suzlon energy) are trading at expensive valuations bcoz of kind of growth.
Just FYI Inox wind P/E is more than 300.

2.Objects of the fresh issue:- To build 4GW Solar PV Topcon cell and 4 GW Solar PV Topcon module mfg facilities in Hyderabad that will result in increased revenues in the future and operating leverage will kick in and PAT will show superb growth.

3.In FY24 -> Revenues for Domestic (86%) and Exports(14%) and Indian governmment has been increasingly allocating more and more financial resources to Renewable energy sources especially solar.

4. Capacity utilizaton >80% that itself speaks about the demand the company and the sector has.

5. Neglible contingent liabilities.
