I have applied for 8 Lots which means for 640 shares but i have been allotted only 1 lot means 80 shares only.
What is the reason for this?

If u applied 8 lots in single application then it is expected.As per new rule all application should be allotted at least one lot first.When no of application is high there is lottery for even one lot.
