Lagta h Sebi ko retailers se koi matlab nhi h pratap is commanding 2 years forward valuations why sebi giving permission to such a company

now some samosa or kachauri wala should float ipo at 400 PE and 30x PBV and so on. until these lead managers finally know the buying limit of retail investors. as in just how expensive they can buy such stuff.

It’s almost as if investors are oblivious to the fact that the issue is priced at 202 times earnings for the year till March 2017. This shouldn’t be surprising—while valuations of Indian markets seem all right from a top-down perspective, things have been out of whack for quite some time now for many sectors and individual stocks. The Prataap Snacks issue, then, just underlines the bubble in various pockets of the Indian market.

“We find valuations of several mid-cap stocks in our coverage universe very high. In fact, it would not be wrong to say that some are in the ‘bubble’ phase with the market extrapolating strong growth and high returns in perpetuity,” analysts at Kotak Institutional Equities had written in a 10 April note.

Contrary to a few of our friends '' opinion, PRATAAP snacks will list with hefty premium. Pl wait and see. Subscription data is an indicator for this.

As some of you correctly mentioned that valuation for Pratap Snacks IPO is kept on a higher side. But still, I will apply for few lots , not for Listing gains but for keeping in my portfolio. In my view if you are gunning for a multibagger , then you should invest in the future of the company & not in the present of the company. And to me the future looks very bright. Unlike Other IPOs , the proceeds of the IPO are also being used for expansion & modernization of their manufacturing facility. This means that their revenues will automatically improve with time.
So in my view, Apply as per your appetite, don''t care for listing gains & hold it in your portfolio for long time. I bet it will become a multibagger.

I have applied & it might give some listing gains. Moreover, I am willing to hold this stock in my portfolio.
