Markets opened flat and traded with a negative bias to close in red. Looking at the oscillators in the hourly charts, we expect indices to take support in a range of 5380 – 5385 levels. On the upside, 5480 level still remains a resistance for the market. The bullish view mentioned in previous reports will be negated only once nifty closes below 5340 levels.
The Nifty Aug future closed at a discount of 0.85 points, against a premium of 4.35 points in the last trading session. On the other hand, Sep future closed at a premium of 5.25 points. FIIs continued to be a buyer in the Index options. Though they shorted stock futures, were net buyers of Rs400cr in the cash market segment. Yesterday, build-up was visible in the 5400 and 5500 call options. However, considerable unwinding was visible in the 5400 and 5500 put options.
Dear Sreedhar, In the first instance I did not apply SKS wholeheartedly. If I had not lost so badly in Shree Ganesh Jewellary, I would not have applied SKS. When I made some money from this issue I felt as if I am taking something that is due to the poor and downtrodden. I know it is wrong to tell like this after having applied. But still..... As for as Bajaj Corp is concerned, as I have only one full lot I will try and buy in the opening if it lists around 750 as suggested by you and then sell around 800. I will keep that one full lot for a price above 800 or so. But if it gets listed around 780 or 800 what should I do?
Dear Natarajan, In IPOs where there is heavy HNI response try to buy at 900 am itself at market price.I have given you HNI cost for SKS & expected price & it was almost bang on target ie listing at 1060 & booking profit in 1150-1200 range. This happened becos HNI cost of share was around 1060 & since they would also want to sell at profit we can start booking profit when their profit reaches 5 percent,we can start selling in instalments ie 15-20 percent of our holdings for every 1 percent increase above that.I have done succesfully this trade in all the recent IPOs except SJVN where I made a loss of 3 percent on my purchase at 900 am.Stop loss is very important becos if for any reason SKS had not gone above 1060 then there will be heavy selling pressure from HNIs. Most often that not this works & it is fairly simple way of making money in IPOs.For Bajaj corp also I had given my views.Hope you have gone through it.I will be implementing it on wednesday.
Sahranpuri Ji, Can you specify what you meant by ethical promoters? Just today our local newspaper had a headline Micro finance Da"Runam".Runam means loan & darunam means atrocious . A Micro finance agent had threatened 2 women members of a self help group in a village in Medak District of AP.Husband of one of the members died due to heartache & another women tried to commit suicide. This type of incidents are occuring at a regular frequency which is causing lot of discomfort to the state government & resentment among people. For profit micro finance is nothing but glorified money lending ,difference being rate of interest charged by Micro finance firm is a little benign.
