as HNI quota subscription timing is upto 5pm, this is now crossed 5 times.
Whoever applied more than 5 lots, he will get firm allotment. whoever applied below 5 lots application, he may get 1 lot allotment or nil (less probability who applied less lots) ,
How will the powergrid units be alloted? Since the issue is oversubscribed, can hni get at least one lot or it will be less than one lot of 1100 units. Proportionate means if I apply for 2200 units and the issue is oversubscribed 5 times, then I get one fifth of 2200 units ie 440 units????

if you have applied 2200 units means there is 40% chance you will get 1100 units or NIL allotment.
Power grid is brand name under government of India, so the security and sustainability of returns are much visible than indigrid. So in my opinion it will subscribe reasonably good. Anchor list is good and many big investor invested in it for stable returns.Probably will list @4 to 5 % premium.
It will list at 10% premium so one can look at rotating 3 to 4 lacs and earn quick 5 to 10% with option to retain for longer term as Fixed income instrument yielding around 10 to 11% per annum. It will be oversubscribed 3 to 4 times by the time we see final figures

Indeed, great anchor book including MFs, lets see how QIB shows more interest before 3 PM today.
don''t know anything about InvIT. Not very clear after reading a bit online. Question #1: Can these be sold on listing date? (trying to understand if there is any locking period) Question #2: I see about "investment period & quarterly/yearly payouts." Can we change these options & when do we select these options?

There is no lock-in period. Units can be sold on listing day itself.
To my knowledge, they distribute their revenue (comprising of dividend, interest and amortisation of loan) periodically, on quarterly basis (fisrst payment will be after six months from the closure of the issue), and you will not have any choice of periodicity of the payments.
Huge Task ahead for LIC institutional subscription is only .38 times. Institutional investment must be .9 times for any IPO to sail through.
Your money your decision I will rest my case here.

No huge task. Non institutional oversubscribe by 1.57 times. Institutional by 0.57 times. Overall crossed 1 time. By closure all will get oversubscribed with out much effort.
Yes agree, Corona case loads are on rise.. avoid ipo and market for some time. Stay home.. stay safe...
Safety first... request all to get vaccinated, if they are able to get..forget ipo, shares, investments for some time..
It''s unfortunate some cheap Management of company are coming up with ipo when our country is struggling, even other countries are lending their helping hand... but our corporates are in their own world.. only motive mint the money from public, they forget humanarian side...shame on them..

Issue can be thought otherwise too.
It is most unlikely that demand for power goes down in long term. Anyhow, business methology is difficult to understand, and it will be better bet even it generates 8% return, with capital intact.
It is another avenue of longterm investment.
Hence, I am applying.

now a days it is very easy to call someone cheap without thinking anything.
Unlike private Invits, it is hard to guess what would be the Q distribution going forward and how efficiently they''ll manage. They don''t have ROFR (Right of First Refusal) on Powergrid''s assets, so, other private invits can also bid for Powergrid''s lines, which may make it expensive for the Invit.

@clearsky Why Parent powergrid will like to lose investment management fee as well as Income it will make from operating and maintenance (15% of O&M charges) 2ndly higher the bid price lower will be return for the Invit holders. ROFR is overrated. Invit should acquire assets at time of high rate of interest
@Arun, you have answered your own question. Why would Powergrid company investors would sell to a lower bid of PGInvit if someone else is offering higher price for the assets? and If PGInvit is forced to pay higher price, then their Unit holders will not get attractive returns. simple
We are discussing far fetched hypothesis here. Power grid is promoter of this invit. All 20+k crore assets will come here, period. For convoluted logic, why sbi give cheap loans to sbi card, why hdfc sell thousands of crore home loans to hdfc bank.why money control and cnbc tv 18 promotes reliance all the time. Nobody questioned tatas when they stripped consumer business from tata chemical cheaply. Lol, you get the idea. We live in a world of vested interests.
difficult product to understand but yield will be 10% per year.(Rs.10 ) if promoters projections materialize.

@alok marwadi Please understand that these assets are operating assets with purchase agreement for 32 year plus (original agreement 35 years. Till 2 years from start of operation it can not be sold) SO there is no projection on revenue side if they can ensure availability of power line for that period. As these projects maximum risk is earthquake where tower can come down (count the possibility) and with such high voltage flowing through them no body will dare to steal the wires
7700cr IPO, where slow start, it will subscribe more than 4 times means 30000 Cr amount shall be applied in this IPO. Don''t think and apply otherwise u will get 5 to 10% costlier in open market.
arunARUN said 25%, is retailer quota. you can any number of times. No restrictions. If you have fund you can 100 times for retailer quota. Then the issue will get subscribed by nore than 100 times considering the other retail subscribers and allotment is made according to the rules. you may get som
Technically there is no seperate retail quota. If you apply for 1 lot, your application will be considered under retail application. If you apply for 2 or more lot, your application will be treated in hni category.
For both of the application, the allotment will be made on proportional basic subject to minimum lot. Technical there will be no difference in allotment process.
Apply for as many lots as you wish.

Dear All
As per DHRP, there are only two categories, institutional & non institutional with 75% & 25% allocation. There is no HNI or retail here. All those who are not registered entities like QIB, Mutual funds , FII, DII, family trusts are considered retail. There is no limit of Rs.200000/- per retail. One can apply for any number of lots in non institutional category up to 25% quota limit.
@chittogarh Board above mentions maximum lot 1 equal to Rs.110000/-. This is incorrect. Please correct it.
