SEBI has increased Retail limit in IPO to 2Lacs, But Income tax department takes a case for scrutiny if one apllies above Rs.1 Lac in IPO. Now CBDT should also raise this limit to 2 Lacs.
You say you are very safe investor. However, you were desperately wanted to apply for Aster Silicates. How much dividend it is paying for you? Have you esited at cost & holding rest for long-term?
the entire concept of pricing a FPO is quite tricky ... evn institutions can't sell all powergrid evn if the offer price is sub 95 as if it is oversubscribed heavily u won't get the desired allotment. But surely many existing ppl would sell at least a part of their holdings. so one thing is sure that the company is trading at a discount to its fair value. so whether the issue gets priced at 95 or 90 or 100 ... more important is to take an exposure and not just wait and let go off this opportunity. So guys prepare arrange for cash n apply ...
232 C A RAMEHA SHARE WERE ALLOTTED IN 2007 OCT I HOPE YOU ARE AWARE THAT MARKETS WENT DOWN IN 2008 AND MOST OF THE A GROUP SHARE WERE 50% DOWN THAN THEIR PEEK RATES I AM JUST TAKING ABOUT ONLY NIFTY 50 AND SENXEX STOCKS AS PER THE CHARTS OF POWER GRID WAS RS 70 TO RS 80 FROM PEAK OF RS 120 BUT IT HAS NOT GONE BELOW IPO PRICE IF YOU WANT DIVIDENT THEN YOU PRICE WILL BE BELOW IPO PRICE YOU HAVE TO CHOSE ONE AND NOT BOTH HOW EVER IT WILL DEPENT FROM PERSON TO PERSON WHAT ONE WANTS
power grid will be no 1 in telecom Powergrid has lot of fixed asset as tower in all india and now they are going to give thete tower to lease also they are already in telecom in 5 years they will be having more than bharti tele and gtl infra
Power Grid is not a Good Dividend Payer, if they are Good dividend payer their (world's 3rd Largest Power Distribution Provided) share could have been touched >Rs.1000 within 3 and 1/4 years.
They had come out with IPO during Sep 10. Now it is struggling to get to Reach Rs.110.
I am sure Power Grid has not performed for 3 and 1/4 years, what they are going to perform now.
ONLY GOOD DIVIDEND PAYING COMPANY GROWS WELL, I request all investors, invest in Companies whose promoter is holding >70% to 80% of shares (like Wipro etc)
Power Grid better be away, Please keep it in mind it is not an IPO it is FPO (Follow-on Public Offer).
I was allotted 300 Shares during Sep 07, still it is going only <Rs.100. Once the market is bearish all FPO Investors DEFINITELY WILL LOOSE THEIR MONEY.
NOT ONLY PRIVATE Players, GOVERNMENT ALSO STARTED TO PULL (CHEAT) OUT money from poor people (below creamy layer lever) like RII.
i think buying this share now and selling later sometime between FPO period and allottment period can be beneficial. Please advice me if I'm wrong. I'm new to the stock market and thinking in various directions.
