TapSam :- I am not very much enthused by ASBA. What is the benefit you will get? 1 lac blocked by ASBA will get Rs.100 interest for 10 days in the bank. Whereas you will lose Rs.1000 for 10 days at 10% interest rate - bangnewman

@1085,
In my opinion you should hold the present lot. After allotment see what is the average cost coming to. Then wait for few months to get a realistic price of, say, 110 or so. If you can not hold for few months then it seems difficult to recover your buying price. Accepting loss and hoping to recover some after FPO allotment does not seem to be good idea as the price may not move upwards immediately. AND LOSS IS LOSS. One should avoid taking it on the face.

@1092,
It is not important from whose account the money is coming as long as the applicants are different having different demat accounts.

Anyone interested in short term gain should not apply for FPO in the market showing uncertain behaviour due to fickle minded FIIs and their influence on Indian market.
IPOs are O.K. though as price discovery gives some return to the applicants.

Enough reason to believe Power Grid will slide to around 90-95 by the time of allotment due to the ongoing correction in the market. No one including the Govt. can do anything about it as it is an FPO only.
Indian Govt. is only concerned in raking the cash from the investors. Otherwise they could have increased the retail quota rather than forcing the people to cough up two lakhs for IPO application (ratio of allotment will remain the same). Thank God, at least we have ASBA.

I am new to FPO/IPO and this group. I am having 4 demat accounts. ( mine,my wife,my daughter no1 and no 2 ). Now I have money only in my account. Can I give 4 different cheques from my account or should I transfer 1 lac each to 3 bank accounts of my wife and daughters and give cheque of their account only? ( for MOIL FPO ). Can any gyanis help me? - bangnewman

since the issue price price is fixed at 90,the retail subscription is 3.29 times. so we can expect around 334 shares/Rs 1 L application

The report says, "Based on the monopoly status of Power Grid Corporation in power transmission and strong execution track record it offers sustainable future earnings visibility. Despite regulated RoEs of 16% as per CERC norms, the quantum of capex planned over remaining 2 years of 11th plan and the entire 12th plan will result in significant revenue traction. Business segments of consultancy and telecom is also scaling up due to expansion into newer geographies and leasing of towers to telecom companies. The FPO is priced very attractively at a price band of Rs 85-90 per share providing handsome upside in the near term. We recommend subscribe to FPO."
