If one is bullish on PWG don't sell when allotment is done, if will be fatal error on your side. Sell only on listing day. If someone is bearish they can risk and sell as and when shares are displayed. People have burnt fingers in NTPC and NMDC FPO. There were group of operators headed by Sj who adviced to short-sell both FPOs and on listing day those who shorted got shares acutioned and suffered heavy losses. Also govt fooled and trapped short sellers by holding listing of NMDC for 7 days after allotment.

Shyam Sunderji, stop permutation and calculations, the Retails was oversubscribed 3.85 times, thats final, a full retail application will get 287 shares plus or minus 3 shares.

The more one thinks, the more one is bound to get crazy, friends stop calculating at such and such cutt off and arriving at diff figures, Retail will get as I said 287 +/- 3 shares, thats it.

@1125 can u specify the RII subsription details @ cut off.
please share the source too, 1.5 times @cutoff seems so low.

@1139 the details given in the table is total subscription, the allotment will be mostly @cutoff so 3.85 times will be reduced based on the cutoff sbscription.

@ 1139
As per my calculation(considering only cut off bids) on full 1105 shares application we will get around 315 shares.

all the very best

Dear Anup Bahl 1125:

Your saying that RII subscribtion in Power Grid FPO is only 1.5 times, is not right. As per the final table published after reconciling all transactions itself shows, the RII subscription is 3.85 times. Nothing is likely to be available from the employee quota to improve allotment to RII investors, since the subscription there is also 1.11 times.

In the Coal India IPO, employees quota was only partially subscribed, due to unions misleading employees not to subscribe, on the pretext it was against the unions' agitation against privatisation. That balloon has now been pricked and is seen by employees as so much hot air, after realising that they missed an opportunity to earn a 40% profit on investment within 10-12 days of the issue closing.

I do not expect that the nummber of shares per full application under the RII category could exceed 300 shares.

Since this is an FPO, whose share value has already been discovered by the market, it would be unrealistic to expect a major killing in terms of profit booking. This is good only as a long terms investment with a minimum holding period of 1 year, when its value could appreciate by 40%, even 50% in the market, unlike the CoalIndia IPO.
