@1178, Mr Nairji,
I expect Powergrid to touch 140/- withn a timeframe of 6 to 8 months based on performance for FY ending 2010-2011, the stock the most can be a market performer, dont expert fireworks, It will give you a gradual steady returns, without sleepless nights.
I speaking for myself would take my 10- 15 profits and move over to some other IPO, to make faster returns. Powergrid is like road roller, heavy, lethargic, at he most it can crawl ahead, allowing many to overtake as it moves on, hope this helps in taking a decision
Mr.Pandit - I would like to get your expert opinion regarding Power Grid FPO. What you suggest one should book profit upon listing or is it worth to keep long for term. Kindly give your suggestion.
Pandit Ji, tussi chaa gaye, you seem to be quite knowledgable and confident, things looking better for chittorgarh now, this site needed a down to earth person like you to guide lesser mortals like us. Funny, huble and intelligent are 3 words to decribe you.
,ACCORDING TO CNBC AWAZ CHANEL POWERGRID FPO SHARE TRADING WILL START ON 23 NOV

yes you are right the new shares have to be listed, but its done much before the allotment, as only the distinctive numbers of shares have to ADMITTED for trading and not LISTING the Company, you can sell them the moment you see them in your demat account, as all formalities are completed much much before the shares reach your account, bindas trade. Remember Panditji never tells lies, but please dont trade before allotment, presuming that shares will come into account on a particular day, you may get trapped, SELL ONLY ONCE THEY ARE IN YOUR DEMAT
India's biggest inter-state transmission firm, Power Grid Corporation, will list its equity shares, issued recently via follow-on public offer (FPO), on exchanges on November 23, 2010 informed its chairman and managing director, S K Chaturvedi in an exlusive interview to CNBC Awaaz.
I agree with @1160. Be careful, for FPO too, there is a listing date, all those shares allocated can only be traded after that data.
It is wrong to say that as soon as you see shares in your DP, you can sell. You can only sell on/after the official listing date. If you sell before that, it will be considered as short sell.
