My Application No . Is 80040496 , have applied for 1105 shares ... through Kotak ASBA ,,,,, But on entering the application no. To Karvy it doesent show any thing .... what to do now ....???
The Power Grid FPO shares got listed today itself, as informed by Chairman and MD Mr. Chaturvedi. So you can sell the shares alloted to you. Off course you need to be alloted the shares before you make any sale.
my father filled an application and submitted in Karvy office at Haridwar, applied for full 1105 shares, status is not shown in allotment status of Karvy. It means no shares are alloted , money has been deducted from account. This is consecutive second time form was submitted at Karvy Haridwar and no shares are alloted even after full application, something is wrong with Karvy Haridwar office, probably they only keep cheque and throw away the application form, similar complaints from many people.

And reason of todays drop in price is a) internaition condition (Korea/world market negative) and bigger reason b) lifting of ban on FnO thereby shorts covered and fresh shorts/longs were initiated thereby huge volatility in price. By 25th price will stabilize.

Guys I'll be blant and bitter but you all selling FPO are plain stupids and fools doing share trading without knowledge. Let me clearly tell some points.
No one can make a profit by giving a short delivery.
If the shares are bought back (in an auction) at a lower price, the difference between the sell price and buy price is passed on the investor protection fund.
If they are brought back at higher price than you are bigger fool, buying a share at 85.50, selling at 99 and buying again at >+99!
Also some fineprints you must know
Shares have to be delivered on T+2 day.
If the shares are not delivered, auction is certain.
Auction will be done on T+3 day.
Auction always results in a loss for the short-seller. So grow up and make small profits instead of unseen big losses.
At best, the final price for the short-seller would be same as he sold at. And this is most important point.
He will still have to pay brokerage and other charges. And here you pay 4 times brokerage.
you could have sold fpo shares today itself , i sold for 99.65 u can check this on ndtv profit they are showing flash that fpo shares can be sold today
