I have a query, please spare some time and let me know where exactly i went wrong.
I had shortsold in sharekhan account 500 shares of PFC expecting to give delivery from my FPO shares on 27/11/2011. i shortsol yesterday for 1000 shares again in sharekhan as i got 500 more shares in each ICICIdirect and Rmoney accounts. Today morning i sold in Rmoney and ICICIdirect accounts and bought 1000 shares in sharekhan as to makeup yesterdays shortsold shares.
And today i got a mail stating below
"We write to inform you that 1000 share/s of PFC which were short sold in your trading account in settlement number 2011099 were not squared off before the close of the market.
We further wish to inform you that the said shares would have to be made available in your DP account for pay-in purposes latest by 30th May, 2011 before 9:00 AM. Please note that failure in doing so would result in an auction.
Request you to kindly ignore this mail in case you already have the shares available in your DP account or would be alternatively arranging to have them transferred from another DP."
Please let me know if this 1000 will go for auction or my first 500 will also go for auction.

ACN HE DOUBLE CHARGED SUCH CHARGES AS HE HAS ALREADY CHARGED ON THE BILL RAISED ON 24.05.2011 OF OUR SALE. PL EXPLAIN THIS ONLY IF ANY ONE HAS KNOWLEDGE .THIS WILL HELP A LOT TO OTHER WHO SOLD ON 24.05.2011
tower and Divya, auction starts at 230 and ends at 315 and 1st price taken is highest price from which auction shares are taken generally T+1 (2 days). Auction process is just like general market, depends upon demand and supply. Some dealers needs shares for clients who agree to pay-in buys from auction at rate prevailing at time order is placed and some dealers arranges from pool of shares they have. If your dealer arranges (if you have good terms with him and he has shares, he'll do it for you) there won't be any charges viz brokerage etc. Simply he'll transfer shares from someone else who sold that day a/c to yours and take auction price from you. If it goes to auction than you'll pay charges and that is 1% on inelgible clients plus brokerage and penalty. Had you defualted which happens in margins commonly, charges would have been 0.05% plus brokerage plus penalty. And yes, there is flactuating autcion price and what comes out is average auction price and not traded auction price which is known to exchange only.
Guys avoid playing NIFTY, FnO and taking positions overnight for next few days. There is going to be a break up or down. India vix closed at -10% for 1st time in history and commonly when vix is +/- 5% we see mad swings in market and this time it's a 10 percenter. Be cautious and avoid margins, fno, nifty and overnight positions.
Keep posting..You are spot on..pfc is going down..i sold the reamaining 180 at 199.10...already i am facing a loss of 6% with infy..dont want to take any risk..got a profit of around 3500 with PFC..happy with tat
My BROKER CHRGED ON AUCTIONED RATE IN NSE YESTERDAY 207.63 + 2.0763%+Del Charges ( BROKERAGE+STT+TOT+SER TAX). = 210.21 IN my opinion he should charged only 207.63+ 2.0763 = 209.7063 per share . Pl advise which is correct as no delivery handed by us only 1% auction cjarges should be charged. Pl givereply ASAP.
I have just seen your message. However i have exited completely at an average price of 199/- If it come down by any chance due to bad market, I will grab 100 for my portfolio.
I am little bit hesitant to keep PFC because I am holding huge chunk of REC shares in my portfolio. REC is going down all the time for the last couple of months. So why to take rick at this time. I got around 5000 profit in PFC and I am happy with it.
