1.The big HNI traders who is having BM will be affected because of money circulation. He might encash his white money in the market to compensate.
2.Stockmarket is like a pack of cards. witnessed how ridiculously market behaved to the gem of stocks in 2008-2009.
so be prepared for any eventuality and wait for our septaji , nidhike and eagleye''''s updates.
Disclaimer : Though i am not supporting herd mentality and panic selling, this is the truth i am witnessing in the market.

Yes market will open. Banks are closed only for public. Actually they will be busy in arranging 1000 & 500 Rs changeover. Nifty SGX 3% down. Good buying opportunity
I expect PNB-HF to rather tick upwards following Money sterilization drive.. the reasons follow: 1. Who goes for housing finance.. not one who holds huge black money.. he would not need to scout for financing.. So target customers should not dwindle after the move.. 2. Since overall money tightening will cause fall in real estate sector.. it will bolster demand from those who got white money or those who are financing... So higher demand for financing..
3. Another effect is rather more obscured.. This move will, in short run, decrease high powered money and will money supply. That will raise interest rates. But i expect this effect to not last more than a quarter or two as RBI will come in... So interest margins shoudl not be affected in medium term or longer term..
This is perceived effect.. but actual move will depend on what FII and DII perceive the effect to be... If you are long term investor.. keep holding and dont sell if market shows knee jerk reaction... If market is efficient I hope this stock to close in green even if it opens or trades in red at opening...
It is actually beneficial for housing finance companies as reduction in black money in real estate market means more cheque transactions and hence more people would opt for home loans to make their home dream true.
