Since no experienced member replied so far, I'd say if UPI works, there should be no problem in application. So just try it yourself. There is no risk in trying. I'm assuming your PAN is already linked with Aadhaar (if you have an 'active' demat account).

I think one of my extended family members has a similar case. She got her account opened in SBI through PM scheme without PAN. She doesn't have a passbook yet (received some sort of identity card with account details), didn't even know where her branch is until very recently. Got her PAN-Aadhaar linked during opening her demat account (after paying ₹1000 penalty online). Applied in a few, and got allotment in Muthoot. (Yeah, I know, 1000 penalty, then muthoot...😕 Still holding it!).

So if your PAN is linked with aadhar, and UPI works, I don't think you should have any problem.

Anyways it is very much desirable to link PAN with bank Ac for various other important purposes..please get it done as soon as possible..

Wow @SadhuMaharaj you got fantastic allotment.10 retail in inox means you have applied at least 50 retail applications.
Inox India is a portfolio stock. I'm also holding it. Nearby Target is 1400 in coming month.For long term the target is open even 3000 is possible in 2-3 years.

I don't have an account with RBL; I have one with HDFC.

Client ID = They are asking for client ID but in CDSL there are 16 digits first 8 are DP ID and last 8 are Client ID but i am confused that i have to fill last 8 or all 16 digits??????????
You need to fill in all 16 digits.

First DP account holder name = Here i have to fill name of minor or guardian ????????
The name of the minor.

First DP account holder Pan = Here i have to fill pan of minor or guardian????????
The PAN of the minor.

PS: In HDFC, 2 and 3 are auto-populated.

​@MaheshJain Recently I opened a minor account in HDFC.The bank guy is asking me to submit ASBA form in HDFC security office instead of in Bank branch. Is it correct approach for minor account?

​@Alokblr  I'm unsure what's going on with the CG forum. Whenever I try to post something, it appears as something else entirely. I've attempted four times, and even disabled my posts, but the issue persists.

I am using RBL minor account. You can fill like this

Client ID = you should fill all 16 digits
First DP account holder name = name of minor
First DP account holder Pan = pan of minor

​@Nothing New yes, however it depends upon your bank. If it is SBI, you will never know the exact timing hence i have stop using this. I have moved to IDFC, HDFC which is more consistent to release the fund by 11 am.

​@sashah  Thanks!. I too stopped using SBI ASBA as the service is non-existent. I'm using Canara these days which I found to be the fastest one to release hold.

​@Nothing New Yes, and i would like to add to what sashah has said. ICICI releases funds upto 1 PM.
And generally UPI mode is faster than ASBA..

​@Vimal Garodia  the allotment is out post 8,9 pm or even during midnight. Are you saying the funds are unblocked the next day of allotment date by 1pm. Coz I'm using SBI and they release hold the next day before 10am. Is it okay to continue with SBI?

​@ROAR Yes, next day 1 P.M. for ASBA..I know it is a bit late but very predictable and consistent. I had very bad experiences with SBI, missed few IPOs with SBI not releasing money at all the next day. If you are happy with SBI then you can continue.
