In hdfc sec app click apply instead of quick apply. There is a button on top to change the investor category .Changed to HNI.after the change Edit the BID details. Change the number of lots you want to apply. Same thing on website.
@Vijay It makes no difference applying first-time or fifth time. If your luck is with you, there is always chance. Even if you apply 20 lots there is no chance in over subscribed IPOs. When there is lottery, luck matters. Majama Haso.
I think HNI could goto 300X as HNI size is only 4 cr. However, if markets open in deep red due to US inflation data, subscription might reduce a bit...
Expect well past 300+ in HNI with no other IPO clashing..... @ BigBull chances of allotment in 2 lot HNI if HNI subs is 300x will be 2:300 or 1 out of 150 2 lot applicants will get 1 lot....

Thanks everyone. Since past few months. I have learnt that very high subscription is also not favourable individually because of non-allotment.
But this time there is only one IPO and no other in the pipeline. So might as well. Plus given that markets have gone green. We can expect subscription to be a higher.
Money unblocked after EMIL allotment will also be poured in here. So, will see bumped up allotment. Main issue is of QIB portion if ot goes above 2x then we can expect very good listing and follow up UCs post listing as well.
Again in this ipo I had applied for 21 lots as many applicant apply for 21 lots as it is lucky number . ipo's of Annapurna Swadisht , Concord & isolation I got the allotment in all 3 as I had applied for 21 lots which has a good chance of allotment as many applicants may apply for 21 lot as it is lucky
People who are applying in HNI category should preferably stick to applying in round figures rather than trying to apply in unique number. This way at least you would have a chance in lottery to get the shares. Else if the lots you apply for do not get enough identical applications then your application will not even be part of the lottery..... See for instance Annapurna scenario where applicants who applied for 14, 19, 23, 26,27,28, 31, 33,34, 36,38,41,42 .....even 147 ... etc lots never even got a chance to be in the lottery as their application size did not have enough applicants. If your aiming to apply for 10-15 lakhs, better to apply for 9 lots as many ppl will still apply thinking bHNI starts at 9 lots...even though its not the case in SMEs.... So 9 lots will have significant no of applicants and this will at least give you a chance to be in the lottery even though the ratio could be 1:40 or 1:50.. still a chance. Anyone applying higher up could well apply in round figure lots such as multiples of 5 or 10....to be on safer side. This is just a personal assessment. Do your own research or follow ur fin advisor for better strategy......
@Justalearner you are right. @Boxowi No dear.....if your applied lots category dont have enough subscription then they will not consider your application in allotement. They divide category for every no. of lot. if subscription is 100x and you applied 10 lots then your probability is 1/10. So if your category has 10 applications then they will give 1 lot in your category.... if this category has less than 6-7 applications then they will not consider your category. Thanx

@Justalearner @opchachan No application is rejected without giving fair chance of lottery. In case of lots category dont have enough subscription, such nearby different lots are grouped as per oversubscription & any one unique lots is alloted, e.g. if isuue is oversubscribed 100 times, then nearby 100 applications with unique number of lots are grouped, & any one applicatuon is alloted.
I think your observation is correct in last 3 ipo's of Annapurna Swadisht , Concord & isolation I got the allotment in all 3 as I had applied for 21 lots which has a good chance of allotment as many applicants may apply for 21 lot as it is lucky

@PREMP How many applications do u apply for 21 lots?
Only problem with this ipo is qib (50%) .They can come and sell on listing day with very small gain because only few qib are active and getting most of the allotment very easily .
Did QIB sold CONCORD or FROGCELLSAT ? Dont worry........they are price makers and YE SABKO UPER LE JAKAR PATKENGE. This is why I sell out with sufficient profit. I don't want to be RICH.
