Retail quota is 35% and subscription is 200 times while HNI quota is 15% having subscription 550 times. Would it mean applying in retail would have been better chances for allotment?

@antarix @noorul,@lokes, why so many people apply in HNI while chances are better in retail? Also, both will get single lot then what is the logic to apply in hni?
As per my understanding, you have better chances of allotment in retail than applying for 2 lots in HNI. But if you apply more than 2 lots then HNI has better chances to get allotment than retail.

My answer to your earlier question was for small number of lots only. To further clarify things, I will give you some examples. Lets say you applied one lot in Retail. Your probability is 1/200 i.e. 0.5 %. Now, if you apply two lots, your probability is 2/550 i.e. 0.36 %. So, here retail has more chances. But if you apply more, say 11 lots, then it becomes 11/550 i.e. 2 %.
So, for small number of lots, retail got better chances. And if you got more DMAT accounts, then certainly you are better in retail.

@IPOgainers & others,
IPO allotment is based on number of applications, not on number of subscription which is in rupee. OS numbers are suggestive & are used for strategy making, but real game is number of application which is known only with BoA. Best of everything is apply full force with amount divided between maximum demat accounts. 😀

@Ipogainers - no one can apply for 600 lots in HNI in this IPO as max application size for HNI is 366 lots.

Applied for 50 lots,I am small investor. I don't have more ability than this.
Most of us on the forum wouldn't think a person with 50Lac+ capital is a small investor.
With great humility, maybe a mid size investor but definitely not a small investor 😉😜

Write mail to registrar copy to SEBI to club QIB and HNI , in this IPO. It is highly unfair to allot 50% of shares to segment which is subscribed only 17 tomes.
We have a precedence recently, Steelman Telecom Ltd

IN Steelman, Qib and Hni were clubbed because it was not a book built issue and it was registrar's mistake to allocate 50% quota to Qib. It should have never been there in the first place itself. However in this case since it is a book built issue and as per Sebi rules you need to allocate 50% quota for Qib in book built issues, so you can write mail to anyone you want, it won't make a difference.
QIB will play their game to take it up to new level but don't every try to buy it at higher prices. Use your brain............Just "SELL" at your suitable rate and stay away.
I will buy PHANTOM when it come down to below 50 and hopefully with in a year.
@Ravichndran sir, 15/15/204 means can u elaborate it plz? U mean from 3 individual different accounts u have applied 15 lots each in HNI CATEGORY & in one account u have applied 204 lots in HNI CATEGORY? is this correct Ravi sir?

Yes. For bigger lot sizes, depending upon oversubscription, there should be more than one applicant ( or may be more than 2, 3..). For a good understanding of this logic, just have a look at Annapurna BoA.

I looked at Annapurna BOA and I see couple of applications there. So I thought that I can get atleast 1 more person to accompany my application so that one of us will get it. Fingers crossed

I think you should have a look at Annapurna's Allotment details i.e. BoA. This will give you a good insight that applying with a bigger number of lots may sometimes put the applicant in a disadvantageous position. For example, people applying 145, 146 and 147 lots in Annapurna did not get a chance to even participate in lottery as there were just one applicant for these lots.
Here, as HNI quota is almost 550 times, you should pray that there are atleast 2-3 more applicants with 150 lots.
Appx 28 (minimum) applications are required in this lot category to participate in lottery. KN Agri was oversubscribed 750 times in HNI - there even 3 lot, 4 lot, 5 lot couldn't muster enough applications to participate in lottery. But as it has oversubscribed 550 times so bright chances to participate in lottery.
Applicant who has submitted bid for more than 10 lacs will be alloted 2 lots considering as big HNI ? As this sme ipo is a book building and not a fixed price ipo. An expert's opinion will be highly appreciated.
I have applied through zerodha portal but the UPI mandate is failed in today morning. After that applied through ASBA mode with same PAN. Now I have been received two messages for IPO subscription form NSEIPO. Kindly elaborate what repercussions about that as UPI mandate is failed in one application.

Your application is surely rejected by registrar...
@vijay gupta Don't worry, if your first application mendate is fail than you can apply again. Don't worry about message from NSEIPO. Your application is valid.
If any stock is failing with higher volume that signals to get out of that stock. It means that lot of people are happy to sell at lower price and don't see any future. But if a stock is failing with lower volume that means there are less buyer
