This is again for 276.Raj Raj. Do not get confused with a full application to lots. When you say Lot, it is the set of shares. Lot size (say 20 or 30) is the minimum for the application. Such lots can be boughts in any number (as long as it is not exceeding Rs. 1 Lakh) by any retail individual investor. So when any one say I applied for 3 lots, it could mean that they have applied for 3*20 (20 is just example) = 60 shares. For example, for Persistent Systems Ltd, they have given the ipo information as below Issue Detail:
»» Issue Open: Mar 17, 2010 - Mar 19, 2010 »» Issue Type: 100% Book Built Issue IPO »» Issue Size: 5,419,706 Equity Shares of Rs. 10 »» Issue Size: Rs. 157.17 - 168.01 Crore »» Face Value: Rs. 10 Per Equity Share »» Issue Price: Rs. 290 - Rs. 310 Per Equity Share »» Market Lot: 20 Shares »» Minimum Order Quantity: 20 Shares »» Listing At: BSE, NSE
So some one when said they had applied for 3 lots, that means they have applied for 3*20 = 60 shares i.e. at a upper band price of the share 310, it is worth 60*310 = 18600 rupees. One can apply such lots as long as the lot value is less than 1 lakh. So the max one can appply is for 16 lots i.e. 16*20*310 = 99200 rupees. You cannot apply 17 lots as the amount exceeds 1 lakh rupees. All this is in one application.
in response to my previous blog 220 and 221 by sunny. So what is it when people talk about i applied for 3 lots or 6 lots.if somebody could please explain. and thanks sunny for your clarification.
PSL A GOOD CO AND A GOOD IPO IN FY '10 THE CO WILL POST AN EPS OF RS.25 AND IN FY'10 CONSIDERING A GROTH OF 30% EPS FOR FY'11 WILL BE RS.33-35 SO AT RS.310 IT WILL BE TRADING AT 9 TIMES FY'11, I HAVE A FEELING IT WILL SURELY COMMAND 12-13 PE SO PRICE COMES TO AROUND RS.13*35=455 THATS THE TARGET FOR ME I DONT KNOW THE GMP
ITS BV FOR FY'10 WILL BE RS 155 AND FOR FY'11 RS 190 SO AT RS.4550 ITS 2.4 TIMES BOOK BUT OTHERS LARGE CAP STOCK LIKE INFY, TECHM, TCS, ETC TRADES AT PRICE TO BOOK BETWEEN 5-10 TIMES, i m not comparing with bluechips mind it otherwise it should be trading 800-900
SO 450 IS THE TARGET FOR ME,12-14 TIMES IN RETAIL EXPECTED
with reference to below blog no 221 , I want to confirm this thing is true that one cannot apply IPO for more than 1 application of Rs 1 lakh.
Please confirm any one have same experience as have SUNNY BLOG NO 221
(221 Sunny Mar 18, 2010 2:08:14 AM IST Report Spam Anyone applying for more than 1 application (in different demat accounts) please note that since your demat accounts have your PAN number which is unique, all your applications would be cancelled and no allocation would be done to those applicants. It happened to me. So do not apply for more than 1 application.
